 I can't seem to make him into a respecable tank and i've followed most of the suggestions here but it just isen't comeing togather. Does anyone know a good build for him?

I dumped a lot of points into his str, with a bit in Dex and Con. Gave him all his talents and Two weapon. Used him with my rogue, seb and anders most of the game. Seemed to work ok. (on normal)

Fenris is a doable tank even on Nightmare. Obviously he's not as good as Aveline (he tends to die a little faster to focused fire) but with Turn the Blade/Stonewall he can survive quite well if he has a healing mage (either Hawke or Anders) supporting him. You also have to take into account he generally has a better damage output than Aveline, which means ending fights more quickly, which means less damage he has to take.

My build for him is str/con focus with just enough into willpower so that you aren't constantly running out of stamina. As for talents: Turn the Blade, Stonewall (plus its upgrade), Lyrium Ghost (I think that's what it's called) are for tanking purposes. The rest of points can go into whatever you want. Personally I take Giant's Reach, Mighty Blow, Pommel Strike + upgrade, and that one passive that applies stagger on crit (works really well with Lyrium Ghost's huge bonus to crit %). The last two are purely to apply stagger for CCCs.
