Look blowing up stars to defeat the reapers is kind of like suggesting vaporizing the pacific ocean to kill a scrimp, If you have the technology to blow up a star then the reapers are really not a threat to you.

I loves me some scrimps.

I always thought that when you can't find a good ending to a story, start blowing stuff up :P

considering what we got in ME3 i would've destroyed every god damn star to avoid getting a crucible or a catalyst, as both highlight the inabilites of biowares writing staff.

Leviathan went on to underline those highlights

Hee hee.

You do know the original writers DID plan for the Dark Energy plot introduced in Tali's recruitment mission to be important as a big series reveal at the end of ME3, don't you?

Something about Reapers harvesting life to stop Dark Energy destroying the galaxy. So ultimately, should Shepard really be stopping them?

Something like that. It got scrapped pretty on in development, anyway.

The abandoned dark energy story would have been better but even that contradicts Soveriegn's claim of being beyond organic understanding because, well, we can all understand it and last I checked I'm certainly organic. If my game villains are supposed to have incomprehensible motives it's a real immersion breaker, and also a bit chicken****, to suddenly give them a motive that we actually we can comprehend.
