So anyone figure out a good use for Berserker? Comparing it to everything else it seems horribly weak. Even in testing its kinda crap. The Berserk sustained its self dmg isn't as useful as I was hoping, by the time you get it your already doing 20-24 base dmg (with a 2 hander). +10 (if you have no other sustains on you) at the start is only about 50% dmg, and every attack cuts into that, few hits on a group and your down to 5 dmg.
Then you have Adrenaline, 20 stamina for 5% dmg?! For 8 seconds. WTF. Cleave last longer, same stamina, and does 100%! Upgraded its 15 seconds of 100% straight dmg. The stacking seems nice but using that 5 times drains 100 stamina for 25% dmg, for 8 seconds. It just doesn't make sense, Cleave from vanguard is infinitely more useful and less of a drain.
Which brings me to the last 2 talents, only ones that seem worth it to me. Barrage and the passive Death Blow. Barrage is nice, 50% speed boost, upgraded it lasts 20 seconds, does -10% damage resist. With good armor that wont mean much even as a tank but its attack speed is pretty solid. and Death Blow stamina per kill is nice. If Barrage stays on if you turn Berserk off (you need it on just to use the thing) I can see that + Passive being useful.
I just feel like all of its kinda...crap. Berserk's damage is weak compared to cleave, Adrenaline is weak compared to even Berserk and more so compared to Cleave. If the actual durations fully stack with Adrenaline I could see it, somehow, stacking up pretty high given you had enough critter mobs to one-shot to get stamina back. But ultimately it all just feels like Berserk wasn't given enough attention like pretty much every other specialization I've looked at.
Very disapointed in that, was looking forword to playing a berserker.

You can repeatedly use Adrenaline. I found Berserker to be doing decent damage against everything without having to have low life like the Reaver or being situational like the Templar. It really does it's best against multiple waves, though. Deathblow plus Barrage will gain tons of stamina to keep the damage boost. I think it synergizes best with the two hander tree.

Yeah I was mostly comparing it to Vanguard and other base warrior stuff. Problem I see with Adrenaline, I realize it stacks but 5% for 20 stamina just isn't worth it. Unless it costs 0 once its already on you, that I could see being worth it. Otherwise Cleave is 20 stamina for 15 seconds of 100% (upgraded). Your better off just using that all the time. That's basically 75% dmg per 20 seconds (100% for 15, 5 seconds of nothing). Better use of stamina.
Deathblow I think is nice though, only real reason I can see going that route besides Barrage. Barrage is actually pretty nice overall. Biggest issue is in how Berserk and Adrenaline function. Rage isn't worth it past needing it for Barrage. It's just a drain on stamina while its 'benefits' constantly deplete.
Kinda wish it was more like unforgiving chain in that it stacked up %dmg (like adrenaline is supposed to do). I could see the duration of that being based off how low your stamina is so you have to keep attacking to keep the damage boost. Feel like that'd make more sense then actually killing off your damage bonus for attacking stuff.
I dunno maybe I shouldn't keep comparing it to Cleave, but every time I do, Cleave has greater benefit then Berserk + Adrenaline combined and doesn't use as much stamina.

Lvl 10 with my started over warrior, took reaver as its my favorit base but lvl 14 is eventually going to hit and I just am unsure which I'll be taking for my 2nd. Berserk seems mostly useless to me and I generally dislike the templar thing but I think it may fit best at this point.
Holy Smites AoE warrior like fireball. Solid dmg vs everyone, can be ugpraded to do x2 vs mana/fade creatures so that's nice. Also a lot of templar stuff isn't just mage hunting. Silence, for instance, effects 'everyone' from using there abilities. Dispell would even remove Berserk from someone if they had that kinda thing. They're just 'better' vs mages.
