In the quest to catch a thief after you kill the people in side the building when I try to leave it the game brings me back to the main menu and says "unalbe to load area"

Mind sharing exactly how you fixed it? I got the same problem trying to leave this shrine after helping Merril do some business in here. Not to spoil.

Never mind, I just rebooted the game and it turned out OK!
