Hi,

I've been wondering if anyone has gotten around to modifying items on a more complex level.

My main focus at the moment is adding set bonuses to armor. And I'm also curious if it's possible to add visual effects to it. I know all of that is linked to the 2DA files but my scripting/C++ knowledge is zero and I'm having a hard time figuring out how use them.

Also, is it possible retexture items using the basic toolset resources? The tint options don't seem to do much other than change colors.

Any insight on this would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Retexturing items: as far as I know it's currently only possible to retexture all instances of a single model. In theory once a model editor (such as the one Adinos is working on) becomes available, it will be possible to duplicate an existing model and change its texture path. So yeah, it's sort of possible.
