Can't get the mouse to work, seems to be working somewhere off to the right bottom of the screen.  Unable to select anything with the mouse, can't get pass the 1st screen.  Have they worked out a patch yet?

Can you provide the make and model of your mouse in case it's something specific to that hardware? That will help us track down the issue a little better. Thanks!

something similar is happening to me, I'm using an Adesso wireless keyboard with a built in touchpad mouse and everything was working fine.  After plugging in my USB mouse now i need to select to the upper right of everything.  I'm going to try plugging in my old PS2 keyboard to use with the mouse but it would be nice if this was fixed soon so that I can use my wireless keyboard in mouse simultaneously.

I'm having similar issues. If the game isn't in full screen mode I can use the mouse (though then I can only see about a quater of the screen so can't play the game). Once I select full screen either through the config before launching the game or through the in game config I then can't use my mouse.
This is what I have:

Same problem developed in my game with two different mice:

First the brand new Extreme Gear mouse I got with my new computer setup-model MO-M233US00X.

Then I swapped it out for my previous mouse-a Logitech wireless model M570.

In both cases, I suddenly cannot hit any actions, because it seems to target way below the action bar. I went in and looked at some of my older games to verify it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue, and they are all responding fine, including DA:O.

ETA:  I took my screen resolution down a notch, from 1600/1000 (16:10) to 1600/900 (16:9).  That seems to have resolved the issue of not being able to select an action from the action bar, but now I can't get the menu options to open.

I have the same issue. Doubt it's a hardware/mouse driver issue because I have a completely different mouse. Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0.

Basically, the game looks like it starts in windowed mode, but is shifted slightly down, so the bottom 1cm or so is offscreen. This then affect in game play, as I must click on everything slightly above where it is on screen... including menus, enemies, in game items, etc.

I believe this problem has to do with fullscreen mode on certain resolutions. My resolution is 1920x1200.

Also, this may or may not be related, but it seems the game will occasionally return me to windowed mode and everything can be clicked properly again, but the bottom 1cm is still offscreen... and I can't move the window to compensate.

I have the same problem as well.  I have a Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 and it's not wireless.  With so many different models of mice have problems, I doubt it's hardware or drivers.

For me, the game runs strangely in fullscreen mode.  While the game displays fine, it seems interactions are shifted about 1cm UP.  Therefore, I must click slightly above things to interact w/ them.  This applies to menu items, in game icons, etc.

I believe this is a problem with fullscreen mode, as the game tends to revert to windowed mode on occasion.  It might also have to do with resolution, as the previous poster mentioned.  I run at 1920x1200.

I have an ATI 5900 series video card.  The driver is version 8 or something... the newest is 11, but driver 11 caused me immense problems with more than just this game, so I decided to use an older version.

EDIT: sorry about the double post.  I didn't know it posted properly because it didn't show up until minutes after I submitted.

Same problems here. I am using a Logitech Mx700 wireless mouse. I have tried both dx9 and dx11 settings on windoew7 to no avail. Cannot click on menu icons full screen in any resolution. can play perfectly on original dragon age  and all other pc games inc cod, medal of honour, crysis, fear etc. I feel this is a bugged game and am surprised that it was released unfinished.

Just a bit of extra info in case it helps. I am using 64-bit Windows 7 and never had any similar issues with DA:O or any other games. I did have issues during the DA:2 demo trying to use the talent trees...

This issue I have with the mouse when I right click, the pointer moves about 0.5 cm to the left every time. This happens only in window mode at any resolution, running on windows 7 64bit, latest setpoint sotfware on a Logitech MX1100 mouse. It's very annoying when you need to quickly select your target, mouse over the target you right click and the target is not selected, because the accuracy is not there. I have tried to unload the setpoint software to no avail.

Some problems with mice not working in games is caused by animated cursors or activating mouse trails. Checking you don't have either of these for a start is a good idea.^^

I've tried the fix mentioned above and had no effect. At one point I was able to correct this by going in game in windowed mode then exiting and reenter in full screen. But that doesn't work either. It only messes up when full screen is checked. This was not a problem for me during the demo either. Also like several others I doubt this is a mouse hardware issue.

I was able to fix the problem by adjusting the video resolution
