Bethany -- I was a mage, she got squished.
Carver -- Grey Warden blamed me for everything, came back and we were the the awesomesause duo!
Avaline - Sisters in arms! She lurves me ;>
Isabela - She's awesome. She came back with the book, even after I told her to give it back and she was like "FU" and took off. She had my back in the end and even agreed with me that Anders wasn't a COMPLETE loon.
Merill - We like maging around town together. She stayed <3
Fenris - He was all "NO MAGES ARE BAD" and I was all "WTF AM I THEN?!?!" and he was like ".... FINE" and fought at my side.
Anders - <333333333333333333333333333333 even though he blew up the chantry, we still ran away together to have little mage babies.
Verric - he was my man, through and through.

I handed Isabela to the Qunari without a fight because I didn't like being double-crossed.
I killed Anders for being a zealot... he deserved it.

Everybody else stuck around. Thankfully, I'd maxed out Fenris, Varric, and Aveline's friendship, so they had no real objection to me helping the mages. Oh, and Carver came back in the end, if that matters. It was awesome to have my dream team of Carver, Aveline, and Fenris!

I know she double crossed you. But she came back! and a body like hers, who wouldn't want to protect her? In act 3 after you complete her mission, you get the option to fall in love with her. As much as she is a free spirted pirate, I'd hate to see that crush by handing her over to some brutes. Again her body is hawt.

Pretty much everyone sided with me at the end, kept Isabaela on both playthroughs. Didn't kill anders, so everyone was pretty much on my side.

To be honest, Isabela's personality was incredibly shallow.  A perfect body can't make up for that in a video game.  I mean, it's not like a real woman, so her personality was really the only thing that would have made me keep her around.  And what's to stop her from betraying Hawke again?  It's just a general rule I have with RPG's... no second chances for backstabbing companions.  Unfortunately, now that I know how this all plays out, there's really no chance that I'll ever see Isabela in Act 3 on any playthrough.

@ Treefruit - Isabela can be found in the Hanged Man during Act 1.  Just keep checking it before you go on the Deep Roads trip... somebody else might know a more specific trigger.

Shanked Anders with the murder knife. Was waiting for that moment the whole damn game. Sided with the Circle, no one else was lost.

-Maxed Fenris's Rivalry so he stayed with me
-Carver helped me in the last battle (he's a Templar)

How did you keep Seb? he seems to leave no matter what if Anders stays.

Ah well I made the choice of not buying the DLC straight away

With WarriorHawke?
I killed Anders for blowing up the Chantry, and killed Fenris for ultimately siding with the Mages.

Didn't lose anyone.

Didn't execute Anders, let him live to help.
Isabella ran off, but came back with the book, and then i killed the Arishok for her (can't let him take Hawke's love away).
Fenris thought it was funny how he'd been hating mages for such a long time, and was now gonna help me fight for them.
Bethany, Varric, Merryll and the rest also stayed and helped fight the mages' cause (Didn't have the prince DLC on my first playthrough, so Sebastian didn't threaten to raise and army and kill Anders either)

you know, seeing so many have Fenris join Hawke afterall, i'm almost ALMOST tempted to replay everything and this time get Fenris on my side. I liked him, i didn't want to lose him.
oh, and isabela too, i guess. she was fun, sorta.

Let's see: in my first playthrough I lost:

- Isabela at the end of Act 2.
- Sebastian at the end of Act 3.
- Fenris at the end of Act 3...but regained him later because we're friends. :-)
- Carver to the Grey Wardens (natch). . . but regained him at the end because he's cool that way.
- Anders at the end of Act 3. . . but regained him later because I wanted him to atone.

In fact, right after The Trigger Event in Act 3, I was down to only having 3 party members.

Let's see...
In my first play through
Carver: Ogre Paste
Bethany: Taken to the Circle (I count that as lost because even when you can use her again,I didn't think she would be worth taking)
Fenris: He sided with the Templars. I took great pleasure in smearing him all over the courtyard.

I let Anders live because I felt that killing him would have been giving him the easy way out. I wanted him to finish what he started. That, and I needed a healer >.>

In my first (Mage) playthrough...

Permanent
Malcolm Hawke - died before the story even started.

Bethany - Squished by Ogre. Emrys Hawke did not take it well. They were very close.

Leandra Hawke - Does it need saying? :crying:

Anders - Killed by Emrys for the murder of innocents and inciting a war he didn't want.

Temporary
Carver - Became a Grey Warden.

Isabela - Left with the relic in Act 2, but came back to return it (Probably due to Romance).

Fenris - Left when I sided with the Mages, but came back when asked---sort of. The option was "Join Me", but the actual dialogue was something like "And that's what you want? To win?" Apparently that was enough to change his mind (High friendship helped too, I think).

i lost bethany to the circle
lost Isabela in act 2 since she stole the artifact
i lost fenris when i supported the mages and picking the wrong (or right) option i killed him, i hated him anyway, he was mean to merrill
i sent anders away losing him
and Sebastion got angry at me because i didnt kill him and he left
and so that left me with Aveline, Merrill, and Varric a single full party to get through the rest of the game with

On my first playthrough as a mage, I lost Sebastian and Isabela.

I didn't kill Anders because of the romance.

A very touching story to say the least, a hell of a lot of family death thats for sure. (Was actually on the verge of tears after Leandra... voice acting was brilliant)

Love the ending as well. got me psyched for some DLC now.

Isabella ditched me and ran off with the book in Act II, never to return. Carver joined and stayed with the Templars, though he stood against Meredith with me in the final battle. Fenris opposed me by siding with the Templars as well, but I was able to convince him back to my side shortly after.

Lost the Prince because I spared Anders. I found the Prince a little more annoying the Anders, spared Anders for some reason... Fenris was convinced to come back to my party and Isabella returned. Have Bethany back by the end of it all.  So bye bye prince, will look forward to your Starkhaven war if it ever happens.

Only Sebastian, but not really a loss. I never liked him anyway. He was a dud DLC character.
I forgave Anders, wanted him to atone, and supported mages 'cause I WAS tired of the templar crap. Plus, Bethany was my sis and Merrill was my LI. Woulda been boned if I had gone with Templars.
Oh, and just to say, my warrior was in the templar spec. Irony eh?

(After Chantry is blown sky high) (what Sarcastic Hawke should have said) "That may have been the best fireworks show ever, Anders! .... Oh, Maker-dammit, why was it the chantry? Please hit Uncle Gamlen's house next time."

Kept everyone, except for Bethany (dead), and no extra dlc, so Sebastian doesn't count.

It's weird. I screwed Isabella in the beginning of Act II, then Merill comes round after a companion quest and we both admit our love for each other. Later on Isabella (who knows I'm possibly in love with Merill) asks me to be on her crew for when she leaves and I accept (as a friendly gesture). Then apparently according to Varric at the end, the only person who stayed with Hawke was Isabella. Everyone else went their separate ways.

I had no idea that one option with Isabella would ruin my relationship with Merill. I can only assume so, considering how open ended the game is.

Yeah I think the ending was glitched, I romanced Merril and only slept with isabela once, but I still got the "everyone left except isabela" bit. but anyways...
SPOILERS
**** fenris. honestly, what a jerk, when i fought him at the end i was like "thank GAWD i get to kill this ****". I couldn't kill anders but i was still pretty ticked off at him for ruining my neutral playthrough, and bethany got carted off to the circle (psh, yeah right, i was really about to take your useless ass down to the deep roads with me, you would've croaked anyways).

Killed Fenris and Anders. Sided with the mages.

But the real question here is how many of your group did you sleep with. Damn, I guess they did not have STD's back then.

Carver died to the ogre.
Isabella ran off with the relic, never to be seen again.
Fenris chose to side with the templars, and I was eventually forced to kill him.
Anders I told to leave after what he did. I couldn't forgive him, but it wasn't in my character to kill him.
Bethany stayed home and 'joined' the circle.

I was actually down to 3 companions with no healer (Merrill, Varric and Aveline) when I was fighting my way to the Gallows in the end game, but fortunately I at least had Bethany waiting to join me there and fill that role (not to mention I was happy to have her back).
