 ...and I enjoyed it immensley!

I honestly thought it was going to end when I defeated the Arishok (and would have been rather disappointed) but it went on for a good bit more and deeper into the possible war between mages and the templars. I can't believe what Anders done, I spared him though, which I chose to do so as I didn't want to go to the end battles without a healer... I defended the mages as no matter what Meredith said, I always thought of Bethany and knew all mages could not be branded as a whole.

I could go on and on... I just had to say that I really enjoyed the game. I played with a dual-wielding rogue and now plan to play through again, either with a two-handed warrior, or a mage. I missed a character or two during my first time through so I am looking forward to picking them up.

Good job Bioware :). I LOVE Dragon Age!

I just wish it was longer and let me become Viscount/king. I didn't feel like I rose to power enough. There could have been an awesome acti n which I grabbed for power.

Yeah, I was hoping to become viscount too before all the killing began. After that though, I can understand whi me and the others dissapeared into the hills.

I was around 35 hours in my playthrough, so it wasn't too bad. There's plenty of things which could have helped it along but I do NOT regret purchasing :).

Yeah I just beat the game 5 min ago.

Played as a 2h warrior and made pretty much played a good guy. The final battle was amazing. Sort of reminded me of God of War 3. I know those kind of battles take a lot of work to create, but wow was it amazing.

I too could never side against the mages seeing as how my sister is a mage and how she is in the circle. Just no way would I side with Meridith.

Btw I was waiting to get a rogue character to join the squad, but it never happened. Also I am surprised how I didnt even run into Isabella. I wanted to have a romance option with a decent chick but that never presented itself. And Merrill doesnt count. She is like a child and just felt down right creepy.

Thing is, when Zhevran showed up. I thought I would pass on him because he just rubs me off the wrong way. I just thought I would get another chance at choosing a rogue.

My next character is going to be a power hungry female blood mage. But not stark raving mad. She will gradually slip to a dark dark temperment.

After that I am making a slender and sleek rogue who wouldn't mind quests which take him to the chocolate factory. If you know what I mean. This time, I will be all over Zhevran ;)

Fun game. Love you BIOWARE !

PS: That fight with the mage leader. Whatever his name was Orzic or something. It so reminded me of Deadspace. It has to be a deadspace reference, that whole fight. Even how you end up stomping that guy in the head. It was a fantastic reference. I loved it.

Nice easter egg.

God I love how EA is delivering pure quality these days.

Bioware did fantastic after seeing this kind of work. I can only imagine what the next dragon age will be like and also SWTOR

and omg Mass effect 3

I CANT WAIT <3

I done every quest that was available to me (or that I could see). The constant running between districts etc probably added a good little bit of time to it. I don't think I could have gone through what I did much quicker without skipping quests.

I like to savour everything, especially on my first playthrough.

My playthrough was ~43 hours. Played 36 hours of it on HARD. The fights just take a lot longer especially if you stop to read. Thing is I could tell that the difference is that hard just makes them have a lot of resistances to your attacks and it doesn't make my Champion feel like much of a champion.

So I brought it down to normal and just had a ton of fun!

I think you need to find 5 books in certain places. And then it unlock something else somewhere, I read something about it somewhere but I can't remember where.

Great post :).

I have the same idea for my next character as you, I can only ever play badass females in RPG's as I tend to base every male's morals on my own :P.

I love the final battle too, it was great, though it didn't make me sweat very much, not sure if that was just because my party was overpowered/set right by that time, it all went smoothly (unlike another battle in the game).

Isabella was my romance, what a lady! I loved Merill's accent (I LOVE the Welsh) but I had to reject her for a similar reason to you, it was a bit creepy. Plus, she was too into the Eluvian mirror to see anything else going on...

Roll on DA3 and ME3- I only ever get this excited after playing a BIoWare game :).

Maybe there's an option for that. There is an achievement for "Seizing the throne" so I think maybe if you do the right decisions you might be able to? Unless it's talking about another throne.

When you talk to Alistair He tell you that, you can only get elected with the templars favor, so I guess if you side with them at the final battle they give you the viscounts seat? Just guessing here though,,,

Overall, I feel Ive been left mortally hanging here, theres pratically no end dialogue to specify what happened to who. Even though its took me 30+ hours to finish this game, I feel like I just plaeyd a prologue for DA3. And quite frankly how Bioware is going to make enough tie-ins the insane amount of player choices with DA:O and DA2 in (possible) DA3 is frightening.

Oh, heres the final kicker: at the end battle's eve (sided with mages) me and my 2H warrior hawke and Merril proclaim eternal love... and what does Varrick tell at the end?

"All of us companios left from champions side.. well except for Isabella" (or something like that)
What. The. F***?!?

So yeah. This game seems to have a fair share of RP-breaking glitches. All else was almost bearable but that last one left a rather sour taste in the mouth.

I beat the game a few hours ago and was rather unimpressed. If I do another run, it'll be when patches and mods saturate the field a little more.
