So PC gamer gave this a 94. Another game they gave a 94 to was Baldur's Gate. Lol?

EDIT: Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn holds a 91. Make of this what you will.

A 94 seems a smidgen too high for me. A 90 is what I'd give it, simply because, for everything it did right, it cut a lot of corners in presentation and left a lot on the table with character interaction, setting and the unique idea of a frame story (seriously, they could have done SO much more with the idea of an untrustworthy narrator than they did). The EA deadline was likely to blame, but still, it's not really ignorable.

Loved the game, really, but I feel like it could have been better.

Oh no, I don't mean Baldur's Gate II, I mean the orignal Baldur's Gate. BG II got a 91. You heard it here folks, Dragon Age II is better than Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn! I have numbers!

I hope that you are joking.

If you have spent hundreds upon hours on DAO and try playing this you will see there is value to the criticism's on this board.   This game was rushed and is incomplete.  Blame the EA overlords for that.

I can't believe BG2 got a worse rating that Baldur's Gate 1; that's just crazy talk! As for comparing the games ... I wouldn't. Baldur's Gate was telling a different kind of story, on a different scale, than DA2 and as such comparing them isn't terribly useful.

I will say that I think it deserves the high rating it got, and I'm enjoying DA2 more than I've enjoyed a crpg in a long time, but I won't make any claims about its value compared to wildly different products.

Does crpg stand for co puter or console rpg? Because this trash definately isn't a computer rpg lol. Last one of those Bioware made was DA: Awakening.

So someone has to be working for EA to be able to defend against the unwarranted assault this game is getting? If so, I guess I'm waiting for my paycheque. 

Don't act like someone who enjoyed Origins somehow cannot like DA2. The game is not perfect by any means, but it is in no way a "travesty" or abomination.

different eras, differents games, differents spirit and concepts. Not comparable, both enjoyable.

It's like saying ''**** Fallout New Vegas, Daggerfall was better''...

This.  And as someone going through BG1 and 2 (thanks GOG!) as a run-up to DAII, there's no comparison--Baldur's Gate 1/2, Neverwinter Nights, Planetscape, and DAO are all better than DAII.  

But please note that a "bad" BioWare game is better than 85% of the crap out there in the marketplace currently.  RPGs die-hards and BioWare die hards just have higher standards, I guess.

I loved the story in Baldurs Gate, but the combat was just so...boring. Of course that must mean that I am a 9 year old dumb COD player.

You obviously haven't seen that this guy has posted in EVERY SINGLE THREAD calling DA2 a masterpiece, the best RPG that we are going to play this year and other crap of similar magnitude...
Anyone in his right mind will at least accept that DA2 is a mediocre game. I can even accept calling it good. But  best rpg, better than Baldur's Gate, better than Origins and best RPG for 2011??

Dragon Age 2's combat is pretty much a genocide simulator.

Hawke kills more men than the 5 Blights combined.

And the BG Saga had more than 1 cave/warehouse/sewer/shore/etc map.
