So I installed the Hi-res textures in the game (even though I'm not running DX11 yet, but will be soon), but now when I start up the game and get into the menu I have NO sound.  The EA logo (dragon flying by) into the Bioware logo sound works fine, but right after that I get nothing, no matter what I do!!  Is there a way to uninstall these textures without re-installing the game completely?  Anyone else have this problem?

You can try to disable the hi-res textures from Dragon Age 2 Configuration Utility (Video > High Resolution Textures Disabled) or from in-game (Video options, scroll down to see last option to enable/disable hi-res textures).

I did try that, but it didn't help. Lucky as I was, sound did start back up again. Unfortunately, I have no idea or reason why. Of course, the game then crashed on me (just as I was getting to a spot I could save), and upon restarting the game I have no sound again.

Just as an Update for anyone else having this problem:
I've been able to fix the problem everytime now by starting the game up with no sound, then changing the video from "Full Screen" to not full screen, then reverting back. Sound starts up right away.  Also, it seems to have had nothing to do with the Hi-Res textures that I can tell as it did this once or twice before I loaded the textures, however it seems to be happening everytime since then.
