I have seen posts where you are urged to save Bethany.
Now in a cut scene Bethany gets killed by an ogre or something  and there is not a thing you can do about it.
When the cut scene ends Bethany is dead....so someone please tell me how on earth can you save her....by stopping the cut scene form triggering?  A likely story that is. Impossible too.
Or does Bethany get a second life later in the game where you can try to save her.
Or is there anthing you can do prior to the cut scene to save her.
I really would like to know why people say SAVE BETHANY.

If you play as a warrior or rogue, she will live.

There is a risk to her life later in the game as well... but I don't know if you want that spoiled.

If you're a Warrior/Rogue take Anders and Bethany into the Deep Roads. At the end, she "will be called upon to submit herself to the Taint for the greater good"

There's only one way to save Bethany. Play a Warrior or a Rogue. That's it.

Is this true? You have done this or you're just guessing?

Theres another way....

Leave here behind when you enter the deep roads

She will be taken to the tower

At the end of the game, fight for the mages,

And then you can use her :D

One of the best parts about the ending.

Funny how everyone answered about the Deep Road, when the TE ment the start of the game, before you go to Kirkwall at all ;)

No that's to be expected... when the ogre kills your sibling so early in the game, they aren't even a person yet... so to most of us, it's almost as if they never existed at all. Really, it's like BioWare gave you a quick character abortion, in the first trimester of the game.

As an aside, if there were any character to be aborted... Carver was your guy. He's a useless whining load of baggage from start to finish. I just name the dog Carver, and it's like he never left at all, he whines the same amount, but at least while he's serving his main purpose i.e. meat sheild... you can re-use him after he gets squashed.

As for Bethany, my only regret with her character is that she is related to you, and thus off limits romantically... that is, until EA decides that consentual incest is cutting edge controversy that will sell games, equivilent to LGBT romance options, then it will be added in as DL content.

...but getting back to your question, to save the Buxom Bethany, you must have both her and Anders in your party, so he can help you Warden-ize her... and you'll want to do this, because if she turns into a darkspawn, she'd be a broodmother, and that will totally change the romance options in the aforementioned DLC.

No, theres a huge ritual feeding thing for the broodmother transformation.. I think she'd be a genlock or a hurlock. Unless you did just ditch her there for the darkspawn to take. XDDDDDD

You can't save bethany she's doomed to be boring and cutesy, at least dead she can irritate the worms and not hawkey.
