Hello everyone I am wondering what is that power in the Destiny trailier? Will you gain it later in the story? Or is it from a Mage Hawke? The reason why I ask because it looks pretty sweet.
Sort of like the trailier from the orginal Dragon Age where you gained Death Knight like blue fire eyes....was this just an advertisement like that?
Powers in the Trailier?

Mage Hawke does an ability like that at the start of the game when Varric's telling the legends version, but you never gain it throughout the game. I am disappoint since one of the biggest reasons I rolled a mage for that BA ability.

Do you mean the blasting/pulling enemies apart thing? I heard that's supposed to be Crushing Prison. Whenever I used Crushing Prison on an enemy who was near death it made them explode... but no giant hands appeared to rip them apart like in the trailer.
That might not have been a feasible thing to implement within the actual game.

That part with unholy hands toaring people is NOT in the game, its only there at the start, but as a mage you will never find yourself doing that.

tbh i kept waiting for something unnatural to happen to Hawke from the relic and that would be the crux of plot and play out with the ive-got-firey-arms-that-rip-people-apart spell... but nope. maybe they should have spent less time making the trailer and more time developing the story.

Supposedly that was just Varric exaggerating Hawkes powers.

It was supposed to be the crushing prison finisher. But even though Bioware said finishers were still in the game, they aren't in the game except during a couple of cut scene deaths(like the ancient rock wraith or the high dragon). It's possible he does them then, but I was a rogue so he just stabbed things even though I was an archer.

Actually it is, but it only ever fires for a Mage killing an Ogre using Crushing Prison.

No Qunari killing with Crushing Prison?
