I just asked Merrill to move in. She agreed, and then went home....
Am I missing something? If she agreed to move in, why didn't she? Is something wrong?

It's part of the plot. She doesn't really appear in your house until Act III.

in act 2 after she moves in, she is constantly going back to her place to take care of specific things. after a talk or two with her in the beginning of act 3 she started to always appear in my house afterward.

I romanced both Isabella and Merril, though I didn't finish Merril until Act 3. She was doing the whole back and forth thing in Act 3 for me, so it may take two Acts before she moves in...?
