Just wondering what sort of level everyone got to when they completed the game.

I mean, the cap is 50 so I hear, but I didn't even hit 30 before the end of the game, I did absolutely everything even the secret passages and the scrolls sidequests.

Am I right in thinking you would have to keep going to the city streets on a night, or keep popping to the wounded coast?

What i have noticed is that if you keep going through the streets at night at the wounded coast, you kill these bandits and you get a sidequest to wipe them out at their hideout, not sure if it happens anyway, regardless or if its one of those 'surprises' that you need to explore to find.

there will be upcoming DLCs so i figured thats probably the reason we can't reach lvl 50 without glitching our way to lvl 50

Aye, I've done them, but I was thinking it must be tough to hit 50 before the end surely..

I'm about to start a nightmare run, so I dunno if the difficulties even change the exp received, We'll see.

The highest you can get in the game itself is 25. That's with doing every little thing that grants you exp points.

The level 50 cap is there for future DLC.
