I'll just fake a Volunteer rescue operation and get out of work... and if there really is a call out I'll say something about breaking my leg in a car accident..... by the way, can anybody hit me with a car so I'm not lying???

I REALLY lucked out at work. I actually scored with Tuesday off, soo happy. Finding time to read the books and play the game though...PLUS work...man...feels good to have these choices!

Thanks to a certain eight years of a certain someones administration I lost my job as a machinist and currently now unemployed. But thanks to the hard working tax payers I get to sit around and play Dragon Age for hours on end and still get paid. Thanks everyone.

You lucky little bum.
But I kid. There's only one thing worse than being unemployed, and that's working for a company that has a Union rule that permits the laying-off of employees in 'times of economic hardship'. So I only get to work and receive pay for three six hour shifts a week, but I'm not technically 'unemployed'. Lose-lose for me.Posted Image

Lucky ol' me has a set schedule which includes tue and wed off every week. So every new release I get is followed with two work free days in a row to enjoy it's awesomeness.

Bah. If only I could call off work for this game, but UPS trucks don't load themselves.
More's the pity. I'll only get a sick day if I break my arm, and I refuse to play this game with only one hand.

Just wait...they may unveil a new bearded female dwarf romancable companion yet.

I'm finishing up at my current job on Tuesday and I've informed my new boss I won't be starting until the following Monday :). Of course I COULD have started on the Wednesday, but calling in sick on your second day of work (In Australia the game is released on the 5th) is, I presume, frowned upon.

Unfourtunatly none of these work for me. Calling in sick for me would go something like this:
*Cough* *Cough* "Boss I'm sick and can't work today"
"Ok hun, I'll work from home today.  I'm sorry you're not feeling well, but are you able to feed the kids and pack their lunches while I get ready? Then you can stay in bed all day while I'm working in the computer room. Oh, and I have a meeting at 2, so my mom will be coming over to take care of you and the kids after school."
Weirdly enough, I don't take many sick days.

[For men] Tell your boss you need to take the day off so that you can score with a hawt redhead. Or a sultry brunette. If he is male- especially a single male-, he will totally give you time off. And you won't be lying when you come back and give him a high five.

Don't listen to her folks, two things will happen from her advice.

a) Your boss will give you even more work because he is jealous

B) He might try to steal the girl from you, and realize it was a lie.

Okay how about this. If you are female, tell him you need to set up ablistering scoring session with a gorgeous French  redhead and promise him that if he'll give you the day off, you'll let send him a video clip.

My boss is a WOW addict, I'll tell him I have a raid on.

He'll understand, probably let me take it as grievance leave or special circumstances.

I'm a full-time student, but for the first time ever I'm actually looking forward to the day of my exam (the same day the game is released :D). Best exam-anxiety-remover EVER.
