I am trying to romance her not anyone else. It seems like every time I talk with the guys its like they have the heart option to start a homosexual relationship and it keeps coming up. The other girl when she went to Anders and announced she had a diease you know I wouldnt want to be with that thing.....

I keep going in the story and have no options to romance her .....*sigh*

Talk to her in her hovel whenever you can during Act I. There will be flirtation options available.

I got a flirtation option as soon as we got back from the Dalish camp and I entered her house and spoke to her for the first time! It was lower-left.

Looks like the options happen sooner with her when trying to do a gay romance from what I am hearing for females they are having a hard time with Anders though I think the male toons will notice the first real converstation you will get a chance to romance him

The hearts don't mean your starting a relationship, it just means your flirting a bit, you can choose to cut off all possibilities of a relationship and still have the flirt option with males

I got a Merrill romance option as a male hawke my first time talking to her in her house. I think there were 2 or 3 total flirting options in Act 1 with a male hawke, but they tend to go over her head, as she doesnt really respond to the flirting.

Her overall romance doesnt really go anywhere until act 2

Anders is a rapist to straight males.  You get rolled into a corner where you have to insult him (and get Rivalry) to tell him to back up.  Very uncomfortable...

I got the flirt option with Merrill in act one playing male Hawke. Don't blame your own failure to notice things on the homosexuals OP.

same here. it is weird...i have a lot more gay romance option than hetero...it seem easier to have a gay romance and the other way around...

You do realise that you don't have to select the heart dialogue for the characters you don't want to romance, right?

Wow serriously? Good thing I knifed his ass then, blowing up churches and raping people what in the hell happend to good ole funny Anders? Now he's just ****in creepy... that being said I have no romances at all, I just don't like any of them or in Mirrill's case her insane ass demon bargining, or blood magic. So yeah shes maybe who I would pick when I go for the Achiviement, but other than that I don't trust any of the ****ers.

That's taking it bit too far. But I'd still say that male characters are just bit too pushy. I was trying to be nice to them and they try to hump my leg right away! I gotta find out what brings this out in them!
