 In my first playthrough, I went through the Isabella romance through and through(got the chievo and everything at the end) but the "living together" part, as far as in-game is concerned, confused me.

That didn't happen, and I don't recall an option for it.

Would someone like to inform me as to what "living" with your love interest entails and how to go about it?

Isabella wont move in with you, the only's who will at least according to the guide are Merrill, Anders, and Fenris. Though I've heard there might be something wrong with getting Fenris to move in. It will be part of the after romance conversation in the bedroom kind of like how you could talk to Isabella about not involving love, with the others it will lead to asking them to move in.

This. Fenris has his own mansion, he doesn't need to move in with you. Compare to where Anders and Merrill live...

Merril moved in with me, but according to Bodahn she left for the alienage a lot.

Fenris's mansion is a total disaster though No, honestly, I think that it would have been IC for Fenris to move in AFTER his final scene after you finish Alone with 100 friendship/rivalry. Up until then, definitely not. He was too stuck on his past, and living in a place that semi-belonged to Danarius was a form of familiarity and penance to him. But after that, with all his "let's move towards the future" and "I can't live without you," combined with everyone giving him crap about how his place is a rundown health hazard and Aveline can't defend his squatter's rights forever ...

I think that he should have moved in there.

Same here, I said that I wasn't bringing feelings into it, but was then later worried that I just shut the door on the romance option with Isabela. However, I recently just gave her a gift, and it led to another 'encounter' with her, though there was no cut-scene or dialogue options afterwards, this time.

Does anyone know if it's still possible to complete the romance with Isabela at the end of the game and get the achievement?? Or did I stuff it up with my response after the first encounter?

AHH.!! i jus ended up getin merril to move in but reloaded the game cuz i want my sexy pirate to move in.I bedded isabela but after i said she was scared too love or somefin like that is that as far as it gets wiv her cause i dont want to grow old alone, so ill get merril to move in  if i cant get isabela but would prefer isabela, so can some1 let me know please.

I don't think you'll get the achievement.  When I did this it led to a sort of mixed situation, where I got some parts of the romance but not others.  Aveline made a comment about Hawke and Isabela being together, and Isabela invited Hawke to a threesome with Zevran.  However, I never got the falling in love conversation with Isabela, and her dialogue at the end was the friend dialogue instead of the romance dialogue with the kiss.  So yeah, if you don't ask about feelings it seems to prevent the romance from completing.

Sleeping with Merrill or Anders is supposed to end other romances, but sometimes putting your shemlen in Merrill's alienage puts you in a weird bugged hybrid relationship state with Isabela where all of her specific conversations think she is in a relationship, but nonspecific ones (Best Served Cold quest, Zevran appearance, Varric's narrated epilogue, etc.) do not.

You're Hawke.  Hawke has a Shemlen.

It's just that Female Hawke's shemlen is an "accessory"

If I remember Lanaya from Origins correctly shemlen literraly means "quick children", which certainly puts a different spin on things.
