(This seems like the best place for this question... sorry if I'm wrong about that)

Was the pre-order deal for getting the Signature Edition upgrade free only for the online store or something? I pre-ordered from GameStop well before January 11th, but I don't have access to The Exiled Prince, the soundtrack, or anything else. And, now that I think to check, the box isn't that black one with the "BioWare Signature Edition" tagline.

I feel like a moron.  Although, looking back at the emails and such about the deal, I don't see anything specifying it had to be from the online store. Is this a mix up with BioWare/GameStop, or did I make a really stupid mistake?

Just so you know, I would have posted in the forum relating to the game (DA2 General Discussion) or contacted Gamestop...the Bioware Store doesn't even sell the game itself (that would be the EA Store), so yes, this is the wrong place...

As for your question, though, probably both - negating Bioware. You either had an incompetent Gamestop employee pre-order it for you, an incompetent Gamestop employee sell/hand-over to you your game, and/or you simply screwed up. The SE was available through online and storefronts, so that's not your problem. You could go back and plead with them - maybe they have an SE that you can claim (and buy again), but assuming you've broken open the box and registered it (as I've seen you have - and its for the PC), it's not like you can return it...maybe if it's completely their fault, which will be hard to prove given that you accepted, paid for, and walked out of the store with a game box that should have been obvious to most that it wasn't the SE. Sorry, but good luck...

I eventually did the sensible thing and called GameStop. They'd given me the wrong copy and were in fact able to help me out (mostly since I'd used their Power Up Rewards card thingy when I pre-ordered, so they had a definite record they could check and make sure was my purchase). But thanks for the advice dude. I was pretty sure I was screwed, too.
