I recently downloaded the soundtrack, and I'm trying to convert the files from WAV to MP3 using my dbPoweramp. The last seven seem to have corrupted headers because they won't process correctly, the error return code seems to be linked to internal length headers. Could you re-upload the files, please?

Wrong forum...would suggest just contacting EA Support.

EA Support is going to have the downloadable soundtrack files, I doubt it. Why are they hosted on Bioware's site then?

EA owns Bioware and are in control of all DLC such as the digital down-loadable soundtrack... ...Anyways, you're posting in the Bioware Store forum which deals with physical merchandise such as t-shirts and posters...it has nothing to do with the DLC, Bioware points, or even the soundtrack in this case. Yes, you can download the files through the "Bioware" social network...yes, you buy "Bioware" points to attain most DLC...who sells the Points? EA. Who runs the BSN? EA.

If you are upset with the files that are provided through the site, take it up with EA...

I just noticed this too, but I doubt anyone at Bioware or EA is going to care. If you want to fix it yourself, you can open the .wav files in Audacity and then save them -- you don't need to edit them or anything, but this will write a correct header to the file. I'd rehost these seven files, but I think then I'd get Bioware's/EA's attention. Except...the bad kind.

Dsurian, if there were corrupted in-game assets, do you think Bioware shouldn't hear about it? Give me a break.

You're assuming that Bioware would care (while stating earlier that they likely wouldn't....?!?) ...they've shown several times in the past (given their rush to release broken games and then their slow and incomplete patching) that they couldn't care less. Anyways, as far as i know, the music plays fine in the format in which it's given through the DLC as well as in-game, thus complaining that they're perfectly fine except when you personally screw with them (and even then you've discovered that it's easily fixable through personal means), it would make it hard for any Bioware rep (i would imagine) to take your grievance seriously...

...and furthermore, this is assuming a Bioware rep would take note of this thread - since it seems to bear the need of repeating, this is the wrong forum. This means that in all likelihood Bioware isn't even hearing this complaint. So either a mod (whos presence is a rareity here) can move this thread to the appropriate forum thereby confusing its denizens or one of you can re-make the post elsewhere...either/or, the discussion doesn't belong here.

Bioware would care if I rehosted their soundtrack files. They probably won't care that there is a problem with them, probably since most media players won't care about the header, and I have provided a fix. I am sorry this is confusing you! Feel free to address your concerns in the appropriate forum.

Mine worked fine using Foobar 2000 converting with the LAME MP3 codec. Takes a bit of setting up and less user friendly than those programs but...it seemed to work.

I just figured this out.  If you go to your registered content after redeeming your code, then click on the more info link next to the line item you will have another window pop.  Follow the directions and then click on the link to Download the zip file that contains the soundtrack.  Hope that helps!

I also had issues with the last seven tracks. The solution I found was to upload the tracks to media.io and convert the wav files to wav files (no, that's not a typo). The "converted" wav files don't seem to have any data corruption.

On the left side under your user picture...

Log in -> Mouse over the word "Profile" -> Click on "Your registered game content" under the menu that popped up -> Look for "Dragon Age II Soundtrack - Signature Edition" on that list -> Click on "More Info" to the right of that -> Under step 3 you'll see the word download, click it.....

Hope this helps, I just remembered the soundtrack came with the game.

Is no one else pissed off about the tracks not having proper tags? I tried to add them (artist name, album, track title, track number, total tracks, year) with Foobar2000 and it said "Unsupported format or corrupted file". Do I really have to convert them to mp3s to get things right?

I'd recommend converting them to FLAC format files: about 50-60% the size of WAVs but because they're lossless, they're much better quality than MP3s.

Hastily testing them as FLAC-format files, they appear to work okay, but I haven't listened to them all the way through.  (For the record, I'm also using Foobar2000)

What if I redeemed the code already and it asked me to log in again and also asked me to type in the code again and it showed that the code was already redeemed and it showed that I had no content to download? somone please help me because I am already thinking I am going to have to buy the game again just to get another code and ea's website is not letting me contact them about this incident.

is it a wonder its complicated... i might as well go to a store and buy the cd even though i have a promo code for it. if i was a person without scruples i would say its easier to just download it.
