So I am about 30 hours into DA2, and decided I'd take a break and look in the forums and see what people's thoughts were (since it has been almost a week, I figured I'd get some good variety here). It seems, from what I'm reading, that almost everyone despises the game. Why? I enjoy the hell out of it for many reasons. This game seems to be more of a hardcore combat-based game. Sure, they took out some 'core' components from DAO, but that doesn't make it a bad game. From what I've played, it is an entirely new game, with some of the elements put into it. Just some points:

1) I am disappointed that my decisions in DAO haven't played a big, if any, role in the game.

2) I think the combat is great, and 100 times more difficult than the first (I decided to play on normal this/my first playthrough to get a feel for it and to get the full story... I've died and reloaded more times than I did on nightmare for DAO...)

3) The storyline thus far has been absolutely fantastic, and I have no complaints.

4) I would have liked more variety in the actual areas. All the caverns/estates/areas in general looking the same was rather saddening.

In conclusion to my unusual rant, I will say that yes, it does seem rushed. But just because a game is 'rushed' does not mean it is still a fantastic game. The voice acting is good, the combat is great, and the game is still better than a LOT of games out there right now. Honestly, I think this game is a solid sequel, but I do hope it is 'improved' upon (I haven't beaten this one yet, but I will solidly say I'll get the third one if there is going to be one).
