So I just finished my first playthrough and my party was absolutely DECIMATED by the end. Carver joined the Templars at the end of Act 1, but it's cool cause he, Cullen, and Zevran helped me fight Meredith. Isabela was a selfish b*tch and left with the relic in Act 2. I debated killing Anders for what he did (my jaw literally dropped), but decided not to. Aveline, Varric and Merrill (I romanced Merrill) never doubted me, but I had to kill Fenris when he attacked me.

I'm thinking of doing a minimum-party run in this game like I did in DA:O (Only Alistair, because he's the only mandatory companion). In this game, I suppose I can end with just Varric, Merrill, and Aveline alive. Does anyone know if it's possible for Aveline or Merrill to leave? Not that I want them to, but you know...completionism is a b*tch...
