I've just finished the Deep Roads so I assume I won't be picking up many more new companions....

Anders - I thought the merging of Anders/Justice was pretty damn creative, and made an interesting character out of the garbage of personalities that was DA:A. I couldn't stand the DA:A Anders - I like this one.

Isabella - I thought the DA:O version was more interesting and impressive. The DA2 incarnation is - hate to say it - just a ****, even by storyline context. Not an interesting **** -an uncharismatic ****. Aren't Duelists all about cunning?

Aveline - nice backstory but is it in-character for her to judge every single quest I accept? She's a guardsman - not a Templar nor an idiot so why would every attampt to make money be so questionable to her when she should seemingly understand the circumstances, not to mention the vehicle for her rise to office and whatever follows.

Merrill - this is the ace in the hole imo. A Dalish Bloodmage who is actually adorable and sweet? Love this character. Great voiceacting too. Very creative.

Anyway just babbling online.

I like Aveline but yeah her rivalry for every job I took annoyed me. I mean come on, Aveline, I need the money!

I agree about Merrill, they did a good job with her character design. I really liked the duality they created with the 'innocent' blood mage with her.

I think anders is a very interesting character because no one can truly understand him. Even when romanced he keeps secrets. I feel pretty bad for him. Even after what he did that made everyone hate him I stood by him.
