How about you (developers) pay attention to the derision being heaped upon this one small thing by people who otherwise love your game, and acknowledge that this was not a good call on BW's part?

This is an adult game.  There are buckets, barrels, and bathtubs of gore.  There is sex with prostitutes covering a great many fetishes.  There is sex with party members... as many as three in one play-through and more than one at a time.  It is possible to force yourself upon NPCs, sexually.  So, you've elected to display an insertion tool and extraction tool in a bordello, but... nipples would be in bad taste?

Yes, this was your game... but you invited us all to buy it, and we did.  Now, it's not just yours any more - any more than my money for the collector's edition, shipping and tax, and DLC is still "my money."  You've sold this game to your customers, and some of us are asking for a patch to address what we regard as a flaw in the game.  It behooves you, the developer, to recieve that request with something other than scorn and arrogance.

While some people are humorously asking for graphic sexual content, the serious request is for a patch to address strong incongruity in the behavior of at least one major character in the game.  How about you take it seriously?

I think it's just that whatever decision we make, someone is going to be offended by it or unhappy with it. You can see how people react to us not including more explicit sex and violence in the game. There is no way that we could change (or not change) the game and magically please everyone.

Look, we all know that the character models without undergarments already exist.  To release a mod that would remove this nonsense in the romantic cut scenes would take almost no time at all, and would allow the consumer to choose whether to download and install the mod.

From what I've been reading on forums these past few days, it seems like Bioware's stance is that they've given people the tools of which they need to fix the game's issues.

They're more focused on defending their decisions with... we meant it to be like that or no game is perfect and utilizing their time to develop more DLC.

Not angry. Matter-of-fact.

Some people seem a bit bent out of shape about this. I don't really think it's worth all that.

Is it sort of silly that Morrigan would put the bra on after removing her skimpier string battle bikini top? Sure. But does it ruin the game? No.

I'm all for equal opportunity exploitation, but it isn't going to hurt the game if no one gets to see their nude pixels either. And getting worked up and being insulting certainly isn't going to help anyone see your point.

@Sakiradesu, the DLC team is completely different from the patches team and has been seperate from the main team for a while now.

I just got through with the Orzammar area. THAT was made for mature audiences... So creepy and disturbing.

I found something in common! The more demonic a person or thing is, the less censoring is needed! Morrigan is a witch on a daily basis, so she can get away with being scantily clad. But as soon as she shows her sweet and sensitive side, she needs to put on more clothing. Desire demons and forest demons are all demon, so they can walk around -practically- naked all the time. Practically, not completely.

And then there's the thing in Orzammar... No bras there... on any of them.....dafk;akfjaf

It's just very... off that they would censor that, or at least fall upon better directing..

Over 30 here, been with the same woman for very near 2 decades (married for 10 years), and have been exposed (quite a lot, actually) to porn for even longer than I've known my wife.  Still see porn, too.
And I don't, and never have, considered sex or the human body as sacred or needing of some kind of protective treatment so that it isn't "cheapened."
Also, atheist.
And yet I am very happily married, haven't even had inkling thoughts of straying from since well before I was married, and am absolutelty satisfied with my wife -
and I still am exposed to porn.

It isn't the porn that ruins a marriage - it is some kind of incompatibility.  Seriously, if watching a skin flick or playing a game with nudity in it threatens your marriage then I think your marriage was already in trouble.

Is it something you want cheapened to the point where it's just an action with no real meaning? Maybe...but not me.
If you're married, or not married but want to be at some point, the more sex and nudity you see, the more damage it does to your marriage, thats why porn is so damaging. The more sex and nudity you see on TV, in movies, on the internet, in games, the harder it gets to be satisfied with your spouse (sex and their body). The less satisfied you get, the more likely it will be to go outside the marriage and cheat. What do you have then...a broken home which is quickly becoming the norm in this time. When I say integrity, I'm saying shouldn't we want to be above that...avoid that? Shouldn't sex and the human body have some sanctity? Maybe you think not, but I do.
I'm 30 year old, I'm married, and I have kids so I'm not blowing a bunch of smoke without knowing what I'm talking about. I've had problems in my marriage just like the next person so no, I'm not perfect either but I have researched these types of things. Do you think I'm spewing a load of crap? Research it yourself and see what you find...you'll be surprised.
Anyway like I said, I am not trying to attack or be hositle so please don't attack to be hostile in return. We're all entitled to our opinions. If your opinion on the subject is different than mine, I respect that because you have the right to think what you want. Please just take what I have said as maybe something to think about and please lets not post a ton of degrading and hostile replys.

In responce to your actual post though. I agree, totally, that it's odd, if you read back, I support the whole idea of porn and blood for all! But I'm not too worried about it being there. And, hell, I'm sure it'll get modded in in no time.

This is ridiiculous. I agree with bman. This is not a sex game. It might have mature stuff but it doesn't need to go to that extreme. If you don't like it then mod it. You've been given the option. Then people can decide what they do and do not want in their game with mods.

This is the kind of post that makes me laugh hard.
Actually if you get out, talk to "females" as you call them (females? really? didn't realize we were on the discovery channel here), and seen one naked, then the inconsistencies in the game would bother you.
But since even using the word woman is too explicit for you, and since you are so blind as to completely ignore the women posting on this same topic and requesting the same thing as everyone else, reducing the whole thing to men only fishing for pr0n (because women females are saints, it is well known!), I'd say *maybe* you are the one in need to get out and lose some of that naivete.
Censorship does not equal maturity... quite the contrary in fact as such small, superficial things like nudity often bother the juvenile (of all ages) more than anyone else.
