We live in a country that was founded by prudes and a lot of their core values are still present in todays society; it should come to no surprise that there was nudity in the game, even if it would have fit the scene.



As for "the scene" I wasn't really wondering why there wasn't any nudity so much as why they weren't in a tent or something. Did they just kindly ask everyone to be somewhere else for a while, or are the two lovers exhibitionists?

Here in europe, the store bought copy of the Witcher had full frontal nudity, and AFAIK no one even noticed that such a thing was in a game. Shame that BioWare is an american developer.

I am rather annoyed that some american company does those ratings and we Europeans suffer from that as well.



For a movie to be 18+ it would need to include gruesome violence or hardcore porn here in the Netherlands. 12+ movies can often feature sex, bare breasts and also full frontal nudity as long as its not in a sexual context.



I never understood how nudity is supposed to scar adults or even children. Are nipples evil as soon as a baby outgrows breastmilk? Perhaps the ESRB needs to be centered in Europe instead of America, the balance is lost in America regarding laws concerning nudity, firearms, alcohol and drugs. I am wondering if they are working on a law to ban sex in America and only allow artificial insimination because sex and nudity is evil.

I found the solution Bioware developped for Masseffect quite nice, playing with the angles the way they did and was hence pretty much disappointed to see the underwear make an appearance in my romance moments...

I am not asking for full blown hawt pr0n, just for somethign which feels natural. Unless anatomy in Ferelden makes intimacy unproblematical even when wearing undies ;-)

There are so many other glaring, outstanding issues with this game - if you'll recall we had a hotfix DAYS after release - I have to wonder how people can really care about silly virtual nudity.

Seriously, fix the ability descriptions and synergy, the broken spells, the attribute coefficients, the enemy AI, the broken tactics tags.  After that then spend as much time as you want on your boob mods but there's areas of the game that could actually be improved to make the game play better, and e-****** isnt one of those areas.

also for the xbox version  why are the graphics so mudded I mean i understand the whole  trying to keep frame rate balanced but does it really need to be so low definition ? yeah sure there is the hd component I could get but I am not going to spend about 100- 200 just for that .

p.s and no I am not going to get the pc version sure its better but I prefer just playing the game without having to worry about wether X is compatible to Y (where X is graphics card/ processio etc and y is the systen requirment)

People are complaining because there is not enough nudity or sex in a computer game.
Seems silly to me.

Lots of porn sites on the internet if you're that desperate.

Its less for the actual porn, and more for the fact we are all adults here, see these things often enough now that they don't really matter, and are slightly bothered that its considered taboo in our culture for things like ****** to show in a video game, which is a form of art.

You can draw pictures of naked women, but this is fine, because its ART.

You can have nude scenes to dramatize the moment in dramas, or other types of movies, and this is fine, because its ART.

You can put naked characters in books, write huge lengthy detailed sex scenes in normal novels, and its fine, because its ART.

You put so much as a teet in a video game, and dear god, think of the children, you are corrupting them, damn you and your company to hell forever, yet games like this are considered just PERFECT for teenagers, and are bought all the time for younger kids, I should know, they constantly invade the servers I play on.

As I said, I don't really need to see Alisters pixelated dong on my screen to get off, however this is an RPG, I would like to be immersed in my game, and feel like I am a citizen of Ferelden, but that immersion is broken if you want to go through the sex scenes because hell, Morrigan ends up wearing more clothing during sex, etc.

If you are going to add sex scenes, then add the whole thing please.

What amuses me is that some of the people clamoring about people just wishing for porn are telling everyone to just go find a girlfriend. However I believe tasteful nudity and sexuality to be nothing shameful or disgusting and American culture still clings to its puritanical roots even though we have become so oversexed and guilty about it that breasts are considered terrible.

We need to move forward in progression and not backwards. Last I checked we had outgrown the notion that uncovered table and chair legs would excite us all to erotic depravity.

Also to note: Bioware is Canadian. EA is not.

I enjoy the romance, such as it is, but when it's time for the cutscene I get up and put the garbage out or something; it's just awkward to look at (and that's without Loghain *wretch*). The scene between Neo and Trinity in Matrix Reloaded is a good place for the developers to start.

Just a little message to all those adults here who are dissing this topic:



What would you think of that nice Hollywood-grade movie with this wonderful romantic love scene where the actors were all wearing underwear during the suggestive scene? That's the point at least the OP and some others here are making. Contextual adult material shouldn't be anything shocking and in this time and age shouldn't be kept away from mature videogame content, just like movies.



Fun part though, is that when you look at the first 60's and later TV movies/series, it was heavily censored as well. I guess it still needs more time for video games to have contextual mature content. The Witcher does a a great job at portraying such scenes without obscenity.

It's so funny that alot of people say they don't care or you should get action in real life, but the minute a goodworking mod for fully nudity comes out; it will be most downloaded mod in a couple of days.



It's simple: either bioware really chickend out in the last minute (which they'll never admit) and they just hope the modding scene will fix it for them (as said the good looking models are in the game apparantly); or something really does go wrong with the textures and clipping when camera gets so up close: Remember that when you have a game where you zome out to 3rd person and in to full 1st person; you have a certain point where you will just be able to look right through your skull.

He's not asking for porn you moron.  The self-censored last-minute underwear (which turns the female body model into a deformed figure, just compare the robed morrigan with the un-robed morrigan) is just ridiculous.

He's not asking for penis/vagina/anal penetration shots with a money shot finish.

He's asking for something that doesn't look laughable, awkward, and cringeworthy (ie current "romance" scenes, looks like somebody playing with barbie dolls), and something with breasts (ie R rated movies, and other M games ie God of War, this is a 18+ game no?).
