How about you shut up? This isn't "your" game. If you had worked on it as more than a QA monkey, it wouldn't be as good as it is, so please, let a real Bioware employer answer our questions and just go back to wetting your pants dreaming about stupid ninjas.

I agree with what most of the others have said. I wouldn't mind not having the sex scenes at all (fading to black like in Jade Empire would have been good enough), but if they are going to be there, having the characters wearing underwear was silly. Fading to black or strategically using camera angles like in Mass Effect would have been better.

I think that the point of this forum is for consumers to discuss the
content of that magnificent game. I can understand that people get
stressed out at work but there is no need for unwarranted aggressivity.
Especially when discussing love portrayed in the game.

I second that. As they are the sex scenes are rather comical. I love the humor in the game but still.

I agree that the camera angles on Mass Effect were significantly better than in DO:A. And with good camera angles you don't need the underwear while still being (even more) tasteful.

I'm not going to read through this whole thread, but I reached the sex-scene with Morrigan today, and I have to be honest, it was terrible.



As in poorly made terrible, and that's sad for such an important part of the game's plot.



Would it really have hurt to take the time to make something a bit better made?

Yeah I bought it, and the patching comes with the price tag. It is a widely-accepted industry standard. Quite frankly, this game is far from a finished product with the amount of suggestions that users have consistenly brought up in mass numbers. Dagger/Bow fixes anyone? + to healing items? Hmmm?

Again, what most people here are looking for is not an official fix... We know it can be modded (and there are already some nude mods on dragonagenexus) but really this is more of a criticism of developers trying to seem "edgy" but also "classy" and ending up being neither, and rather hilariously.

Obviously nothing will be changed from Bioware concerning this patch---because that's way too big of a deal to just 'patch' away--you'd have to go back to the ratings board on it

Anyway, there was definitely a better way to do the scenes to satify both parties

Even if it had cleverly angled shots that didn't show any nudity, but just had the realism of a passionate sex scene(nothing porno-like)--that woulda been much better



For a game that's supposed to be immersive, the scenes definitely were not done well



But the game rocks anyway

Heh someone did mention the Desire Demon a few pages back and the obvious fondling she was doing of herself. Let's not forget Witherfang and the oh so cleverly placed roots and hair. I got a laugh out of that one.

Given that I take the romance very seriously, should I close my eyes when I get to the sex scene with Leliana?

I've been very impressed with all of the romance dialogue so far, and thought the first kiss was handled  well. I wouldn't want sex to ruin it.

Honestly you guys could have done the scenes better without the bra and panties. Nudity would cause way to much grief but side shots with arms covering nipples, back shots, blankets covering the ass/crotch would be fine. Watch any movie that adds a love scene and still tries to keep its rating down (mostly older movies as newer ones are all about nudity). The scenes show far shots where privates are covered by "conveniently" places items (arms, legs, blankets, bedposts etc) and the close shots focus on facial expressions.



Currently the scenes are so awkward and weird that it doesnt seem like romance at all, more like a 14 year old fumbling with a bra strap on a pillow.

In the case in question, though, what was (I suspect) from the devs/writers perspective supposed to be an intimate moment and the culmination of my PC's relationsship with Morrigan instead ended up falling somewhere between WTF  and ROFL. I mean, the lady literally gets dressed for sex - in a bad way. She runs around all day flashing side boob and playing coy, and ends up in grandma's underwear once it's smecksy time? 
I have no problem with you not wanting full nudity in game - and it IS your game after all -  but then save us the weird clips of 4 different sex positions with half-dressed people. Give us someclever camera play to cover up the naughty bits, if they're too much, 80's Hollywood blockbuster style. Not the current clothed-kama-sutra show.

Second this, it is not the thriving for sex and ex[licit scenes. The underwear takes away from the scenes when Bioware has proven they can be done better (mass effect) you raised the bar. So in the end by adding this underwear you actually hurt a previous image you have established. No one really wants porn (those who say they do are internet joksters and will probably respond to this) we simply want the relationship to be meaningful and that includes the sex. You have already shown a great way to do sex (mass effect) so that is where our comments are coming from.

I am fully mature enough not to view nudity as shameful or horrible. But also, my game experience is not hindered by not having nudity in this game. However I find Bioware's response to be offensive and childish like yelling neener neener to the "perverts" who are merely discussing game politicking which is as vicious as dwarven caste systems. We are told to be mature either way, and this also can entail discussing the matter like adults. Attacking your user base by calling us immature and hurling self righteousness in our faces achieves nothing other than making you look childish.

I can think of, readily, at least two bioware employees that have posted on here that I've written off as *&^#$@ bags.

Funny how there is more emotion in the kiss (I romanced Leliana) than the godawful fumbleathons in the tent.
