Crimmson interesting point you made there. That could be misconstrued but from what I've also read by game reviewers is that the developers of FFXIII said that they were supposed to be lovers. Hell Fang was originally supposed to be male but was turned into a female after they changed Lightning's personality to be more serious. Lightning was supposed to be the flirty character in the game but they gave that to Fang and made him a her but left the romance between Fang/Vanille intact but toned it down a lot.

I'm just saying that in FFXIII Fang and Vanille are lovers and it's alluded to but not out right stated in game, but stated as such by the devs who made the game. *shrugs* It's weird and yeah they have no problems with it in anime/manga and some other media forms but in Japan it's still considered Taboo to be openly gay or lesbian. I read an article stating that anyone who is gay or lesbian are considered children until they marry a person of the opposite gender and have kids. No matter how old the person is they are considered nothing more than kids because of their sexual orientation.

I'm not sure why the double standard especially since they have homosexuality, bisexuality and a whole slew of transgender stuff in their manga and anime but there it is.

If it makes the game sligtly more enjoyable for some players for a minimal amount of effort, the fact that it is objectionable to your political/social views shouldn't matter. After all that was your argument  back when you wanted homosexual content from Bioware. Like you said it isn't removing anything from your game and you don't have to select that option.

You state that it is bigotry, but what if he legitimately is comfortable with being a heterosexual male and would just automatically shut any attempts at being hit on down.

It's like skipping the tutorial in a way, you know its coming, and just dont feel like dealing with it this time around.

But whatever, you can believe what you want, as objectively as you want.

saying no isnt that hard. Unless you're the type that rather avoid conflict and have it bite you in the ass later rather than deal with it now and move on confortably, which is what happens with Anders.

I don´t think Brokeback Mountain is a niche product but...

Content being there don´t force you to play it. Just as you can be a jerk with anybody or kill many of your companions in DA:O and you could simply not go for it.

Dying and respawning is a clear example of your argument of "becuase it does not happen in real life, neither it should on videogames".

Not to mention that gay guys hit on random men all the time, those who think differently just must not be SEXY enough /flex

You and me both. I think Lightning/Fang is a better pairing but unfortunately that didn't happen. I'm just stating what I've read and researched though. I like being thorough in my knowledge of things.
