It should matter, actually. While BioWare is a company, it's a company that's part of a society. There's nothing inherently wrong with not including any homosexual content--but there is something inherently wrong with including the option to get rid of what has already been implemented. Such a toggle only exists to cater to the bigots and homophobes.

And such people shouldn't be catered to. If you choose not to cater to homosexuals, that's fine. But it's a different thing entirely to include something that eradicates any mention or indication of a minority existing, because it makes those people uncomfortable with that minority's existence cringe.
