Say what you will about the game--it was rushed, we all know that, and it suffered for it--I'm glad Hawke has a voice.
I know, I know, it removed a lot of choices. You can't be an elf or a dwarf. There aren't QUITE as many specific dialogue options.
But there is no way BioWare could've done the family-based thing without a voiced, semi-consistent Hawke. It just wouldn't be possible, and I'm glad they did it. Obviously I wouldn't want every Dragon Age game to be like this, with a large portion of the story focusing around the protagonist's family, and I'm glad Origins wasn't, but for DA2? It was a good call.
Just wanted to throw SOMETHING positive into the discussion.
Something I love about DA2
