 How many of these goddamn fanatics are there? Dozens keep on popping out of nowhere. How many waves of fanatics are there exactly? What are your companions of choice for this battle? My class is a rogue and I'm being the archer type right now. My companions are Aveline (tank), Fenris (damager), and Anders (healer). I was thinking of replacing Fenris with Merrill since she specializes in entropy and knows how to cast Tempest and Chain of Lightning.

I was able to beat this just now on Nightmare difficulty I have been on that difficulty from the start of the game so I can say for certain that my build works I am hoping there is and achievement for it but either way it is the only difficulty I find challenge on. Anyway  I found your forum because I was haveing the same problem Never had I seen so many spawn.  But It turns out that simply useing chain lightning with a combo of tempest *fully upgraded primal Tree mind you* was enough to get the job done. I believe four waves spawn on nightmare So it may be less for you. But your tempest idea will work, If you continue to have trouble my main character is a spirt healer mage to keep up with the insane amount of damage dished out  two points into group heal and regular heal in the seperate tree. it took me a few tries but once I got it down I only used 3 potions of health and 2 mana for merrill.  so It worked out alright Avenline was my tank and varric assisted with crowd control *hail of arrows*. Anyway Let me know how it turns out!
