We were experiencing some technical issues on the BioWare Social Network website over the past few hours. These issues were affecting the ability to post or causing posts to appear much later.  The website was also unavailable at certain times.

These issues have been fixed and we are making our best effort to ensure this doesn't happen again.  Thank you for your patience.

I'm still having some problems because of it. During the time of those issues, I was editing this album of mine, social.bioware.com/2104175/albums/1027866, deleting the last three pics (#58-60) I had earlier in order to replace them with three others (one new and two of the older in a different order than before; as this method - delete and re-upload - is the only way one can rearrange one's album here, as far as I can tell). The new ones did not appear to get uploaded properly, however, as they didn't show in the album. Then the whole site broke down. When it went up again, those pics were suddenly viewable inside the album, but not in the edit album mode. So I can't give captions to them or delete them. Tried to upload a new pic a couple of times to see what happens, and those got uploaded and viewable, but after the ones I cannot edit or delete. And when I deleted those two new ones since the site went up again, two pics disappeared from being viewable, but two of the undeletable ones changed to display the pic of those couple of shots I uploaded last!

So could you tech wizards be so kind as to go into my album somehow and remove the 'user-undeletable' ones (the three at the end without captions) so that I can continue with my story there (which has aroused a certain interest, with several hundred views and counting)? I'd appreciate that very much. Thank you.

Edit: I just realized that I might be able to fix this problem myself by simply deleting the whole album. But then I'd have to redo all the work of creating a new album, uploading and captioning all those pics, again. I'm not in the mood of doing that right now and I don't know when I will be. I was hoping that someone responsible for the technical function of this site could solve the problem I got from it far quicker. Anyone care to answer this question?

I need help deleting orphan screenshots with my account. I cannot complete the upload of the now only character, having deleted all the others locally and online, because including 3 of the 4 profile files I am maxed at the 50 file cap because I have 47 screenshots, somewhere. I have one album with 0 screenshots and no screenshots show up for the only character I have left. How do I purge these 47 screenshots when I have no idea where they are or from which of the more than 8 characters I once had that are now deleted ?

You're not alone. It's called the "phantom screenshot" problem and we were told about 2 weeks ago that it might be fixed next week, which was last week... so...

Still waiting for 42 screenshots to get cleared.

^I see. Never heard of the "phantom screenshot" problem, but it seems I got a version of it, too, and it's good to know what we're up against here.

So the pics don't get cleared even if you delete the album which they are associated to?

correct. They are unassociated with an album or character and don't show up on the manage screenshot screen or as part of any album.

Hang on, if the phantom screenshot is not seen in the edit album mode or the album itself, where can you see it? Or maybe you mean that there's no pic to be seen anywhere, just a count number for the forum member that detracts from his/her remaining available space? If the latter case, my problem is a bit different. I see the pics I cannot delete or nullify.

Screenshots that get successfully added to the album should be removed from online storage count.

Phantom screenshots are those who take up space and count towards the file limit either because they never appeared on the album, appeared broken or appeared but still count to the limit and continue to do so after being removed from the album.

Normally, as it is supposed to work now, the screenshots should only count towards the limit after being uploaded and before being added to the album.

So, when no new screenshots are waiting, the number for screenshots in online storage should be 0. Only the 4 character files per character should count towards the limit permanently.

I must report that my problem, which seemed a little less complicated than the 'phantom screenshot' issue, has been successfully resolved by Jeff's intervention now. I thank him for this. Hope you guys will have your issues addressed soon enough, too.

Fixed my ass. I have one character with 3 files and 47 orphan screenshots still in my profile.
