Did anyone get all of Sandal's monologue?  It starts with him saying that he saw something by the woodshed, then goes on to say that the magic will come back to the land and that "He" will rise again.  I'll admit I was as gobsmacked as Bodhan and didn't catch all that he said.

Any ideas about what THAT was all about?

Ha ha I just flashed to Cold Comfort Farm....

Yeah I didn't catch his monologue either but going from what Bodhan said there's def more to Sandal than meets the eyes. I was surprised that Bodahn wasn't his natural father, I haven't played Awakenings yet but I don't recall him mentioning that in Origins.

I missed that as well. I do remember Sandal speaking about the scary lady who has a scary laugh though. Thought he was referring to Flemeth. Something tells me Sandal will have an important part upcoming in the Dragon Age universe.

Yeah I didn't catch his monologue either but going from what Bodhan said there's def more to Sandal than meets the eyes. I was surprised that Bodahn wasn't his natural father, I haven't played Awakenings yet but I don't recall him mentioning that in Origins.

Bodhan metions it if you ask him to tell you his story and after he finishes you can say "you didn't mention your son in your tale" and he explains how he met Sandal.

Yeah its rather creepy, they (he was and others were searching the deep roads) they found him just wandering the deep roads alone, and he kept him once he seen he could enchant. Thinking him to be a savant. Which I call bull**** on. Lets not forget two key parts. And a third lesser one.

1. Sandal Was alone.

2. Between the various monsters and darkspawn, how did he survive and not get tainted in the least.

3, His "dad" is a lets face it a bad used carsalesmen, who would take the quarters off of a deadmans eyes as he "doesn't need them now". In fact I suspect if not for the enchantment and seemingly simplemindedness he'ld have left him in the deeproads.

To me all of that says he's  cleary more than he seems, the question is what. And that he manipulated his "dad" into taking him, it would also fit his showing up everywhere an important hero is, short of game mechanics at least. He's actively watching you. And then in the tower, has anyone botherd to think, that he went there himself and killed that horde to allow you to pass. Or maybe I'm thinking too much into this.

There's also Sandal's final scene in Origins...  The bodies man the bodies...  Of course that's prolly part of 1.

Seems to me to be about the Maker and the Old magic that the Tevinter Imperium used to use before they became tainted.

I think it's quite clear (if it wasn't from DAO) that Sandal is much more than he appears to be at first.

I got that sentence with him too. That and the one about the lady with the scary laugh. I also imported a dark ritual save. Scared the pants off me btw. Maybe Sandal's pretending to be simple. Maybe he's Flemmeth 0_0. I dunno.

Bodahn mentions at once point about probably going to Orlais next. Seeing as Bodahn and Sandal have a habit of being the convenient traveling merchants for our main character given DA:O and DA2, I wouldn't be surprised if there's an expansion pack or something set in Orlais, next. Other tidbits in the game gave me this impression, but hey. Could just be wishful thinking.
