It took me 50. Go figure. hard difficulty. Well sometimes Normal on insanely annoying parts, though rarely.

Anyone who beat it as fast as they did played on easy or normal...which... normal is like Easy+1...

This game isnt even challenging until you turn it on hard, and even then, only couplefights so far have been hard, I am @ 33hours and I am just starting on act 3, and I have done net completionist of every chapter, every quest that was available to me.

Skipping through cutscenes and conversations...

Gameplay time is completely subjective anyhow. I know I generally spend a lot more time than most people to finish most RPGs. I expect my DA2 play through to be a lot more than16 hours.

First playthrough with Mage Hawke was done around 36 hours. Did every sidequest I could (except for one which was bugged). Difficulty was set on Normal. (Compared to Origins where I played for ~60 hours it was a little short, much like Mass Effect 2 was shorter than the first installment.)

Next playthrough I'll try it with the Hard setting. I like to adjust little by little with the difficulties, so let's see hw it goes.

I’m still busy with my first play through, and I have been playing for 16 hours in act 1. I like to enjoy my games, and not to rush through them. DA2 is definitely different   then DAO, but in a good why for me. ;)

40+ hours and I'm only part way into the second act. It's not a race.

I'm almost 30 hours into the game. Just finished "The Trip", if you know what I mean.

Origins was nowhere near 200 hours, even if you stopped to inspect every single weed and leaf. Bull****.

I'm almost 40 years old, I have a lot of stuff in my life and don't have as much free time as I used to. I like a shorter game myself, because of my time limitations, and also the fact that I have dozens of other games on Steam that I haven't even started yet. I don't see anything wrong with a game being 16 hours. That's pretty good. Long enough to keep you occupied, but not too long to turn you away from multiple play throughs.

How many times would you want to play through a game that took 80 to 200 hours? That's why I only played Dragonquest 8 once. It was too long to play a second time.

I like how most of the claims that he's talking bs are coming from people who believe the higher difficulties offer more playtime purely because fights take 10x longer for no good reason and not because they actually have more content...

uh. I finished the game and my played counter is at 74 hours. Granted I explored a lot and hunted down any sidequest I could find, but the game is not short by any account. Imho, of course.

I will probably be in the 75-100 hour range, but I know some people are just more efficient and some do skip things here and there. Does not surprise me that it is possible to finish earlier.

Well, Im playing through on Normal and I clocked about 21 hours before going to the Deep Roads. ( Act II ) . Im like the above poster I like to gradually work my way up on difficulties, That being said, there are a LOT of side quests to do, make sure you always revisit your home because there are normally letters for you that start quests. Also, a lot of dropped items that start quests, so make sure you explore every nook and cranny while on other quests because thats usually where you will find them.

Yeah, my 24 hours at the end of chapter one is mostly on normal difficulty.

Some people can't seem to accept that they rushed through the game.

I was 20 hours just in Act 1. There is no way the OP didn't skip a ton of quests. And 200 hours in DAO is impossible. There isn't even close to that much content. Did you fall asleep with game on or what?

It took me 41 hours to complete my first playthrough and I still missed content such as becoming a certain role and I totally missed recruiting one of my party members.

It isn`t challenging even on hard. It isn`t challenging as long as your AOE spells doesn`t hit you. Only on nightmare DA2 is not just arcade. <_<

45 hours here, completed everything. DAO took me about 65/70 hours to complete the first time I played. And I am a 'perfectionist'. I have to get everything done and get all achievements that I possibly can at the time.

Edit: I completed all the side quests that came up - but to my suprise, Isabella bailed so Im sure I missed hers. Hence why Im going to replay.

You rushed and skipped a lot of content. I am at almost 46 hours and just started Act 2.
