Took 35 hours for me to beat Origins, 32 for me to beat DA2.

That means I enjoyed DA2 a lot more.

Which is a dissapointment, considering my max origins playthrough was 200 hours...

How much of that was you walking away from the game,  I did everything in 50-55 hours.

I myself spent 10 hours just thinking of a fitting name for my Hawke. 54 hours in now, barely made the 50g for the expedition.

Gee, you skipped through all the dialogue and you wonder why you don't like the game?

I'm 15 hours in and we're just now headed to the deep roads, which I hear is about 25% of the way through.

Maybe this game just isn't for you, you know its an RPG.

talk about skipping dialogue, missing dialogue options, and missing sidequests, rumors, and companion missions. I didn't even do all of them and got 38hrs out of the game lol

Well I guess it's your loss. You rushed through the game. And don't tell me you didn't. "Bull****, that's not what happened!"

Well I must admit there were a few side-quests I skipped in act 3, but other than that, no dialouge skipped, and every other thing done.

I'm with that guy OP. you rushed through the game. Give us a screenshot of your saves, inventory, quests completed, codex entries and achievements as proof that you didn't.

I myself spent 10 hours just thinking of a fitting name for my Hawke. 54 hours in now, barely made the 50g for the expedition.

Like myself and others, you like to savor the game, not rush through it like drinking a Yoo-hoo.

I'm the type that ignores the "It'll take 40 to 60 hours to beat the game" and I'll try and do absolutely everything. It even bothers mewhen i get "either/or" type quests which means I can only take one instead of both, lol. As it is for most games, beating the "final boss" isn't the achievement. Beating extra bosses, finding as many items as possible, actually shopping and taking time to consider the best weapon for your style, and exploring until your eyes bleed is the achievement.

On the other hand, I'm disabled and have a LOT of time on my hands.

To the OP, you owe it to YOURSELF to play the game for all it's worth, squeezing every bit of content you can. You spent  $60+ on it. If you don't, you're cheating yourself.

For the rush forward crowd, here's the quick version of Snow White.

Snow white was good, her evil stepmother bad. Snow White flees and finds dwarves who will put her up til she gets back on her feet. The evil stepmother finds out, and tricks Snow into eating a poisoned apple. Snow falls asleep until a Prince comes and kisses her, dispelling the poison. They live happily ever after.

The End.

When I get either/or type quests I like to go through with the "mind set" of my current character, save it, then reload a previous save a do a couple of what if scenarios.

Then a few months after I've finished the game. I go back and do my completely satisfied by my choices playthrough. I was really happy with my Origins and all it's DLC final run.

Anyway, I'm at almost 30 hours in and I'm still in Act 2.

I think a lot of people aren't visiting all the places during the day and night. It also pays to go to places even if you don't have an icon showing a quest because you can usually pick up a quest or two there.

You can also check the boards like in Origins.

Man after my own heart.

Yes, they're skipping quests. Has anyone figured that the quests might be act specific and disappear when you go on in the main quest? Also, there are quests that you have to talk to the person who sends you on it first. They won't show up as a quest icon if you don't.

I'm at 25 hours and still on Act 2. I'm not reading the codex as it's hard with a regular TV without High definition and I'm legally blind anyways. (The computer is roughly about 4 inches from my face and my TV screen is very close as well.) I'm also checking every merchant I can find for backpacks mostly but also to plan ahead on what I want when I have the $$.

I'm enjoying the hell out of the game and can already see playing through it with a different character type will be fun as well...like Origins and even Awakenings.

 41 hours.

I have no idea how people are managing to get so many hours out of Origins. That game took me the same amount of time with much slower combat. x.x

Finished it in 3 days, so about 30 hours (one was a Saturday). This is with every codex read, every sidequest (that I can find) done, and every Compaion at 100 Friendship. 95-99% of dialog not skipped.

It is just a short game.
