1. Is Isabela infertile? I ask cause she's been with hundreds of people all through out her prime years and she hasn't had any kids we know of and she acts kind of funny when you give her that Rivaini fertility idol.
2. And I was wondering if the Devs could give us Anders' last name, or does he even remember it?

It's possible. She talks about how fertility charms don't work.atheelogos wrote...

Magic?
Hehe, who knows. All I know is I got a laugh out of visiting Anders in his clinic and him telling Isa that he was tired of curing 'those diseases' from her, and she saying 'isn't that what magic's for?'

Vinegar astrigents. Fits the sort of... feel of that era.
I want to know everyone's last name. It's a thing.

I like to think the scores of STDs Isabela has accumulated over the years has given her Thedas' version of chlamydia so often that she's a shoe in for infertility.

Yea, our ancestors are not as stupid as they would have us believe.
@ OP.
I have wondered that myself. But maybe the Templars never told him about his family? We don't know Wynne's last name either.
My favorite last name is Aeducan. But Tethras is good too.

He said EFFECTIVE. Vinegar would not fit that category.
Depends on the pH. Should kill those spermies fairly well, considering the setting though.

Ayup. If you look it up on Wikipedia, you'll find that there was an entire list of contraception methods, many of which are fairly effective. (And some which are just bizarre.) There was actually a Mediterranian plant that was REALLY effective, but IIRC it's now extinct.

Last names for humans are really only important to nobles. I think the Dragon Age tabletop RPG book said that human commoners rarely use last names.
It's interesting how some characters, though, get referred to exclusively by last name (such as Arl Howe, who no one ever referred to as Rendon).

Err, I figure the DA world might use something like the "moon tea" from 'A Song of Ice and Fire'.

Would you want to be called Rendon?

If the vinegar is applied after the act, it won't help with the sperm already in your uterus. If it's applied prior to the act, then it's going to be diluted or flushed out.kjdhgfiliuhwe wrote...
