Well, Witch Hunt was supposed to clear the way for DA2, but now that I've finished it, I've found no references whatsoever to our actions in Witch Hunt.  However, I've also heard there have been some bugs with romance options not being imported correctly.  Is this likely  bugged, or just ignored?  Opinions?

I would also like to know if anyone has found anything? Even a possible reference point (but you didn't do witch hunt, or romanced someone else and it caused it to skip morrigan references?)

Seconded, I'd love to know if theres any sort of reference to Morrigan/Mirror. I kept thinking something was going to happen with Merril's Eluvian Mirror but oh no, zip, nada, nothing...

Disappointed with DA2 and the lack of Closure, my imported Save had no effect on the game at all except Alistair appearing and Nathaniel (If that was even due to the Save).

Where did you find Nathaniel ?

Can't find the immediate reference, but one of the designers said the DLC decisions were no coded into the game yet an would likely come into play with future DLC.

You find him by accepting the quest from Nathienel's Sister. She asks you to go to the Deeproads and bring Nathaniel back to her.

RAGE.

Seriously, I've spent the last year or so wondering what the hell happened to Morrigan, my warden and his kid - vaguely annoyed I'm going to be charged at some point in the opaque future.

At which Act ? And where exactly?

The only reference came from Flemeth, but she didn't mention anything about the warden.
I still smiled at the reference though.

They said there's a problem with the flags for the all the DLC except DAA. If I remember correctly.

Apart from the mirror, that big leg-monster thing, and the whole "CHANGE IS COMING" spiel, it seems more like it's a set-up for DA3. Then again, so does Flemeth's part in DA2 itself. Hell, so does *DA2 ITSELF.*

Moral of the story? Buy the sequel. And then buy the next one, too.

But there is a wink to the Warden Keep DLC, where you find a mission about messages to the Warden Commander from Avernus and his research, and the little references are nice, like Harrowmont´s family been pursued by Bhelem, the Dalish and the ex-werewolf conflict, Leandra speaking about Sten and the qunaris, The pidgeon population going down in Ferelden... this last is the best

The pidgeon population quote was AMAZING.

Although the Dalish/Werewolf thing was ridiculous...Guys! Stop! Why murder each other? Oh, okay.

I was curious about this as well in regards to Witch Hunt because I imported my save from Awakening.

If it had made a difference I was going to go back and import my Warden from Awakening into Witch Hunt and Golems of Amgarrak for my next play through.

The strat guide also has a section for "Returning charactiers" and Sketch and Bonny Lem from Leliana's tale are in it, but never showed up in my game after two playthroughs. Anyone else had any luck with that?

Morrigan is only mentioned by Flemeth twice. I haven't had any thing else Morrigan related happen. The reason we don't have the transfer content that bioware said we'd have way back is because of this (for those that haven't read it.

Eurogamer: Imported saves don't appear to do much in Dragon Age 2. Will they be beefed up for Dragon Age 3?

Mike Laidlaw: Well the intent was to make sure it was used in a way that makes sense for the story we're telling. We had access to virtually every possible state or piece of data that came out of Origins, but what we realised over time was there were elements that we were including that felt honestly shoehorned in. It was the obligatory cameo and so on that didn't make a lot of sense. The big thing we wanted to achieve with that import was that there was a degree of homage paid, that the world still had the appropriate information regarding who is the king of Ferelden, who is in charge or Orzammar and so on. But in order to create earth-shattering new story-arcs or huge, huge changes to the game from the import really does run the risk of alienating people who didn't play the first game and were maybe turned off by it.

I've certainly seen a fair amount of feedback that says, "I couldn't play Origins, I thought it was too slow, the story was too plodding, too typical, and Dragon Age II is awesome by comparison!" For those people we don't want to create this swathe of content that is closed off and exclusive. We really honestly were driven by what felt right for this story; would Hawke know whether or not the Warden had worked with the Mage collective in Origins? Well, I mean, we probably could have made that work but it would have felt extremely artificial. In the long-term, the information that's included in the end of Dragon Age II does include information from Origins, including stuff that was only referenced very lightly - it's still encapsulated and carries forward into the Dragon Age II save.

I didn't notice any Morrigan references either, except in the beginning with Flemeth and she mentions her daughter. But nothing about the warden or Morrigan together.

Also I think the imports worked for DAO, because I killed Zevran in my DAO, and he made no cameo appearance for me unlike the others I have read about on here.

Same here which has been the same response I've gotten from everyone that's finished the game thus far unfortunately.

It's Act 3 not 2, but it wont show up if you do the Fool's Gold quest in Act 2.

... frankly I would have just been happy with a minor cameo or footnote or just some reference that our choices mattered for a lot of details. And their explanation of 'would hawk know..??" makes no sense since the cameo is directed at the player, not the PC. I had the same feeling with Mass Effect 2. In the sense that "Well, there's some stuff that transfered over.. but nothing that was all that interesting or important save one or two things. Oh, and their way of addressing it was to NOT address it at all but make further promises for the 3rd game" /rant

I figured Merril's Eluvian quest line might shed some light at least on Witch Hunt and maybe how Morrigan got the Eluvian to work- did Morrigan make a deal with a demon to get it working?- but Merill's Act 3 quests were confusing as hell for me due to bugs, so I'm not even sure I totally finished things with her.

I was a lot less forgiving in Mass Effect since Mass Effect 2 was a direct sequel to Mass Effect. But Dragon Age 2 is not a direct sequel to Origins or Awakening. So it doesn't bother me as much. The stuff that did import was nice, however. It all felt right and in place. Even though the Alistair cameo was incredibly shoehorned in. It was cool to see him and everything, but it really added absolutely nothing to the game.

I think Morrigan actually found a working Eluvian or maybe there was something in Flemeths grimoire that explained how to activate an Eluvian

Yeah, bioware said that none of the decisions that were made in any of the DLC actually effects DA2 at the moment. I think this is kind of a rip off atm.
