is it from the Blood Magic tree? I see Garrett cutting his forearm to draw blood, he runs some of it across the bridge of his nose, his eyes turn lava red and he executes a spell that looks like "Fists Of The Maker" (my name for it) which do a simotaneous bilateral amputation of the Arishok. Anyone know?
What is the name of the skill that tears the Arishok in two?

It was a trailer, you shouldn't consider it cannon. There is no spell like that in the game...

Ogre in prologue is killed by it if you're a Mage

nope. You don't summon hands and rip it in two. You explode it from the inside out via magic, the spell from the Champion trailer isn't ever seen in the game...

Yes, there is hand ripping. Watch it again.

It's not the ogre, it's the first darkspawn in the cinematic if you're a mage, I believe.

hehehe. I know I wanted to see it too. Was my favorite part of the Champion trailer. Only reason I was so sure is that it was not, I went looking for it on my playthrough and never was witness to it...

There is no spell in the game that does what hawke did in the cgi trailer. As has been said, if your a mage, Hawke does something similar to the ogre during the introduction.
I think originally it was a mage 'fatality' but it seems the fatality system was scrapped for all classes.

I have in fact witnessed the ripping apart in game, and I do believe it is attached to crushing prison. I was fighting an ogre in the deep roads, and at the end of the fight, he gets this blue line down his center and he gets lifted into the air. He then proceeds to "explode." I had thought the crushing prison fatality was bull, now I know better. If only I could have captured the moment : /

360's are locked at medium setting... if it's a console feature or just a medium graphics feature... that's why.

Definetly arms in the "legend" version on PC with maxed graphics. It rips the ogre in two.
That's the only time you'll ever see it. Which explains the trailer.
