What was that place? Who made it? Why were the lyrium crystals red? Where did that artifact come from, and what was it besides "red lyrium"?

So many unanswered questions. Has anyone figured any of them out?

I figure this stuff is all going to end up SUPER important in the main DA plotline, possibly tied to the mystery of Sandal. Who got a position in Orlais. Hrm, I wonder where DA3 is going to take place :P?

It made me laugh thinking what if DA3 will all take place in one room, or a single alleyway.

Meh, I liked the action all taking place in one city. It was the story of Kirkwall, why make us go somewhere else just because people get restless? I realize it's a different opinion from most.

I liked the traveling and random encounters on the way to certain places, it gave the game a vaster feel. DA2 sorta copied Assassin's Creed with it all being in a single city and you solved people's problems. Anyway, off topic.

DA-3 I hope is in a much bigger setting, or the Trinmiventer (sp) as thats where all of it seems to have started, what better place for a ending?

Really? Copied Assassins Creed?

If anything it was a throwback to BG2. There's nothing new under the sun these days... they certainly didn't copy AC when they did it first.

What we do know. Red crystals create insanity. They forced the creatures (were they dwarves?) to become addicted to the crystals, and continue eating them until they became almost like rock golem things, consumed with nothing but hunger for more.

They make you stronger, they also bring out the worst elements in a person.

Like crystals, they grow and 'infect' anything around them. (As soon as Act 2 we were finding corrupted lyrium on the SURFACE)

The 'relic' was some sort of religious symbol, or a cult. It goes along with saying that a 'god' was related to it as the actual statue appeared as a humanoid figure in the center of it.

After 'dying' Meredith took the form of the statue itself, though I do not think people realized that and her position was a very 'spiritual' pose or figure. (New god figure?)
