One mod that I'm looking forward to someone modding is the tooltip for the hotbar.
I'm playing on 1920x1200 and while having the tooltip appear only to the right most of the screen seems like a clean design choice, i have to physically move my head and center my vision on a small part of the screen.

I would much rather that the tooltip appeared next to the item I'm hovering over, like it does when I look at an item in my inventory or on the map.

The other mod I would love to have is an ability to see health and mana/stamina (perhaps enemies with stamina have a colored yellow bar, enemies with mana have a colored blue bar, on the current target. There already is a health bar showed for whatever party member currently has targeted, all I'd like is a second bar for the stamina mana level, and perhaps a numerical overview on the bars like 454/1200 for example
I'd also like to see what buffs/debuffs are on my target. I can see what debuff my party members have by the little bar on the bottom left, but I'd like a way to track debuffs on the target.

My other idea for a mod is letting unique items "scale". You can do this for some armors/weapons by selling them to the warden's keep vendor then buying them back after you reload your save, but not all work, and that means you end up using weapons/armor you might not like just because they're "better"

I only have a smattering of C knowledge, and taking a look inside the editor kind of scared me away. It's not NWN's editor

My plan for Arms and Armor is to have the Cousland Family Sword scalable, possibly through a special blacksmith merchant in your camp, but I'm nowhere near that point yet. The same principle could also be applied to other weapons.

One problem is that the GUI is pretty much hard coded and not moddable. You can change the game mechanisms, change the story, the items, in theory add new races, quests, items and whatever - but you are extremely limited regarding GUI changes.

So, I don't think yopu will get anything like that in a community-made mod....at least for now.

it shouldn't be that hard if it was possible to edit the ui though...

if you could, you'd just have to find the code that displays the healthbar for an applicable npc/enemy, where it calls the current health level and displays it, you'd call the current stamina/mana and display it. from there you could probably do a check to see if it's mana, then set the color to the 2nd bar to blue, else set it to yellow.

I'm sure you can check if an enemy has mana though, since spells like mana clash only work on spell casters (though zombies can cast weakness, and they're not spellcasters?)

as for the tooltip, I imagine you'd have to find the behavior of the tooltips in the inventory/maps and use that on the hotbar instead of whatever it uses now, I'm sure it calls the same api code just with a different behavior

Apparently the game runs on a heavily modified unreal engine based on some of the naming schemes and scripting but maybe thats just me being hopeful

Ambar - You project contains more realistic sword models? Because basic swords looks like lego toys - same as vanilla NWN2 :/

Orm,

Eventually for all of them, but I'll be starting with a few at a time.
