Dragon Age Ultimate Edition DLC Problems

I purchased the game through the EA downloader/store and used it to download my digital copy. I have since regretted the purchase and wish I had waited for a Steam sale instead because of how bizarre this whole process has been.
The game now runs, however it recognized ALL of my DLC as unauthorized (though I have redeemed the code as necessary and the DLC shows up in my user entitlement page) with the exception of Awakenings. I have tried to troubleshoot the problem using the posted support threads and am having no luck, becoming fairly frustrated and irritated with EA and this darn updater.
Any advice? I am really tired of having to re-download the game (especially on my net connection) and it is frustrating to be deemed unauthorized on something I purchased. I really believe it's the updater but I cannot seem to reinstall it using the command prompt as it gives me an error along the lines of the file being missing (though the file is sitting in my bin_ship folder (DAUpdaterSvc.Service).

I just bought it from EA Store and dowlading, I got the key and the redeem code, everything seemed ok, all the dlc is on my account(including some I don't think I should have like DA2 ones, but that's probably some bonus from buying DAO or something like that).
I've tried every solution posted except editing some file to disable authorization because it seemed a little shady and I don't want to ruim anything.
Also, some of the solutions I just couldn't understand so it may be because I'm very slow.
Trying to start the DAUpdater on the bin_ship folder opens a program I don't know how to use, it asks you to select DAZIP files or something like that. Trying to start DAUpdaterSvc.service says that the service can't be started and that it must be installed first using some "installutil.exe" file and then started with some ServerExplorer.
EDIT:
Ok now I feel like an idiot but I did SOMETHING that fixed.
Using run to run services.msc I enabled the dragon age origins content updater.
It didn't appear like 3 minutes ago.
I don't know if it's because I tried waiting a lot with the game logged on or if it was because maybe I forgot to net start DAUpdateSvc.Service on cmd.exe but it's authorized now.

Ok, I have purchased the Ultimate Edition recently when it was on sale and have gotten the game to install correctly (after 3 download attempts [game cited a file error and would not start previously so all files were deleted and redownloaded]).

A few things... first of all, make sure you're using the latest version of the EA Download Manager... previous versions were a bit buggy, althiough I doubt it's the cause of unauthroized DLC. You'd have the same problem with Steam, frankly. BTW... Awakening is NOT DLC... it's an "expansion pack" and was originally sold on disc. It does not need to be authorized like the DLC does.
This issue is this... when you start the game the first time... it goes out the the EA/Bioware server and checks what you have installed against your account. For first time users, this can take a while... and for new users right now, it's even more problematic... because EA/Bioware's servers are under a lot of demand (I am guessing here) because of this week's launch of DA2.
I would suggest you take a look at the several threads on this forum that deal with unauthorized DLC... there's roundup of solution linked to my signature below and stick posts at the top of the page.
When you DO get the DLC authroized, consider killing the auto-login feature and playing the game offline. DLC only needs to be authorized ONCE. But the game will check every time you're logged in... so if you're having other issues (slow connection, background service not running, etc) ... it may mark them as "unauthorized" again.

Game's fun so far so I'm really hoping to be able to authorize the DLC sooner than later but I'm patient. Here's hoping the servers clear up a bit, darn new game releases.
P.S. I had known that Awakening is an expansion but it shows up under the DLC tab so I just mentioned that it was working properly (well it shows I can utilize it anyhow, starting out with Origins for now).

I assume you mean "Other Campaigns" then.

Finally found a thread that lead to my solution, dealt with the settings in My Documents, was able to force activation sorta, but important part is that it works and I'm off to go live in the Dragon Age Universe for a good month (till the Duke Nukem Forever demo comes out)!

....3.2.3. Installing the Dragon Age Updater Service if it's missing
1.)
Windows XP : Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type cmd and press ENTER
Windows Vista & 7 : Run CMD as administrator as per section 3.1.5
2.)
Naviguate to c:\\\\Windows\\\\Microsoft.NET\\\\Framework\\\\v2.0.50727\\\\
Perform these commands to do so (your prompt should be in Windows\\\\System32 by default) :
cd..
cd Microsoft.NET
cd Framework
cd v2.0.50727
installutil "C:\\\\Program Files (x86)\\\\Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship\\\\DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe"
net start DAUpdaterSvc
Make sure to use the path where your game is actually installed (something like c:\\\\Program Files\\\\Steam\\\\steamapps\\\\common\\\\Dragon Age\\\\ for Steam for exemple)
In case you don't have the exact same Framework version, etc... the Framework path won't work. I suggest you perform a normal file search in Windows for the file installutil.exe and note the full path and substitute your own folders to match.
You could also copy installutil.exe in your Dragon Age\\\\bin_ship\\\\ folder and simply dragging DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe on installutil.exe. As you can see it's way too hard to list all the possibilities here. It shouldn't be to hard to adapt this to your folders locations for most users.
I've seen it happen three times now to EADM copies.. that's if the download completes properly at all. It's quite fixable, but this has been my first, and LAST purchase I will ever make through EADM. Good to know Steam and free torrent clients can properly hashcheck and verify file progress and integrity in a download... but apparently that's asking a bit much of one of the largest game conglomerates in the world to properly implement.
Seriously though, I've seen that issue twice and experienced it myself, it's covered in the sticky. It's a little tricky if you're too young to remember DoS but I'm sure someone can help you out if you get stuck.

Agreed, Steam can effectively save money by saving you bandwidth (which with the way ISPs are fighting to introduce bandwidth caps we will NEED to be able to better control our bandwidth) through file verification.
Also agreed that this will be my last purchase through EADM, that lack of a file verification plus high rate of download/install failure is NOT a good combination. Enjoying the game, but would have rather had it through Steam for less DL hassle.
