Hey Mr. Gaider, Mr. Laidlaw, and the rest of the team:

I have to say that I am really enjoying the game so far.  I am about 5 hours in and am mostly pleased with the experience.  I really like how the game doesn't start right off with a storyline that is "OMG YOU GOTZ TO GO SAVE THE WORLD RIGHT NOW HURRIEZ HURRIEZ GOGOGOGO!"  It is a nice change of pace from most crpgs.  The quality of the dialogue is pretty good and, though I am not that far in to the game I gotta say that I see alot of cool possibilities with the slow moving plot.

I don't really care for the choice to remove npc armor choices, and I could have done without the faster (compared to Origins) pace of combat, but hey, I really like this game otherwise.  I had preordered quite awhile ago, as I have come to expect quality from Bioware (old time fan of BG, NWN, KOTOR, JE, etc.).  However, in the weeks leading up to release, I was led to believe by some sources that DA2 would be a big disappointment,.  I think I can now chalk that up to a couple of poorly chosen phrases in a couple of interviews that were misinterpreted (perhaps purposefully) by some people.  I honestly thought that DA2 would be a similar game to Fable 3 i.e. fun for awhile, but in the end a fairly empty experience.  I believe that I was wrong and I wanted to say that a good deal of my faith in you folks as developers has been restored.

This is probably the longest post I have ever made on these forums.  I usually don't go on and on for too long.  But I thought it might be nice to hear that some of us are enjoying the game, even those that had begun to think that maybe they wouldn't.  Thanks for the nice product.

See if you feel the same way after chapter 1. After 5 hours it's a pretty upbeat experience though I agree.
