It saddens me, but after Awakening and the release of the sequel barely a year after the first game, I knew very well what was going to happen.
I didn't hype it, not one bit, but I was nevertheless negatively surprised by how mediocre my experience with the game was.
I can hardly believe this but l'll definitely think twice before buying a game from EA/Bioware again.

I do enjoy the game, but there are several things that annoy me to varying degrees. The constant reusing of areas (to think I whined about NWN's tileset system; at least the layout wasn't always the same back then), the "waves" approach with enemies appearing out of thin air, the lack of an isometric view, the surprising lack of a main plot after 10 hours of playing, etc.
I can't shake away the feeling that this game was made on the side as a quick cash cow. It's good, but not great, and doesn't live up to what I normally expect from BioWare.

No, and I'm using a PC. Most of my complaints are valid on each platform.

Overall, No.

The game feels 'rushed' and, perhaps because of that, 'too streamlined'. I'm enjoying it, for the most part (better graphics, better atmosphere <could be better, tho'>, interesting characters and amusing banter, runs relatively better on my PC), but it is still disappointing.

All in all, yes (PS3)
Everything is better except the conversation/romance system, which is a let down, and the constantly reused areas, which is simply puzzling in a modern game. The improvements in combat, skills and inventory as well as great characters and far better graphics make up for it though.

It could have used more polish but what we recieved really is a great game. Stanley, Chris, David if you see this post i want you to know that i appreciate this game alot. Hopefully the next one will get more polish and time to get the finishing touches it deserves before release.

An improvement over some aspects. But not all, definitely not all. Maybe?
