Hey there
I was wondering if Magic needed to be pumped up more thant 30 or so points (in order to be able to equip the best weapons) as I didn't seem to notice any difference in the damage output made from the Spells.
Hence this question:
Do Magic affect the power of the Spells (as in their description damage looks like a fixed value, depending on the level of the character and not the Magic attribute)?
Tell me if i'm wrong

Magic does affect the power of your damage spells. In particular, anything that increases your Base Damage stat increases the power of your spells. All damage talents including spells seem to be a multiplier applied to your Base Damage.
Your Base Damage is increased by your weapon and by one-half of your Magic stat. Early on most of your spell damage is governed by your Magic stat, but as the game goes on your weapon tends to make up more and more of your Base Damage.
