I loved things like
1. The Gameplay and Combat.
The Battle Animations for mages and staff combat is finally the way it should be. In Origin's, it looked like I was playing pool / snooker shooting glowing 8 balls at the enemies. Now the staff spinning and combat in tune with button presses is brilliant. and looks very martial.
2. Anders Goes Terrorist - I loved that part.
I actually laughed when I saw that.  I was like :o.   And was kinda wishing he had made a few of those bomb's for when I was up against the Ancient Rock Wraith.
3. I kinda Liked Sebastian too, from the Exiled Prince, but I was a little miffed that he and Anders couldnt co-exist after Anders Blew Up the Chantry, and hes now sworn vengeance on Anders and will try to kill him in a future expansion no doubt.

1. Didnt like Blood Magic to be honest, I tried leveling up in it to begin with, then quickly got rid of it in favor of Force Mage and Spirit Healer.
2. The Story was good, but I would have liked more control. Ok, the story is meant to span 10 years, but I feel like I only got to see about 2 days worth of it.
3. Romances - I didnt like the way they were handled opposed to the Origin's style. If Im in a long term relationship with Anders, I wana be able to talk to him, n 'get sum' whenever I want, not just once per a campaign/act etc. I asked Ander's to move in with me, and yet he still hung around in his clinic... I mean.. hello... Mansion vs Shanty Town.
4. Some bugs I think...
I was fighting a dragon in the Deep Roads, my whole party got wiped out, except for Avelene, she had no toggles on, was not using any abilities what so ever, and everytime the dragon bit her, her health would go down by about 1/5th, then it would restore again within a second. Like a god mode.... However, I wasnt able to exploit this. because I forgot to buy her a new sword and she was still stuck using a 5 damage sword. Lol  (I am more a mage guy)

5. I think the trailers were a little dis-honest...
I thought Hawk would eventually get powers that allowed him to rip Qunari appart..... Now it appears, it was the exagerations of a Dwarf story teller....... In a RP sort of way, thats allowable, in real world sort of way, its false advertising.

6. Whats in Mommys Room?
I was kinda sad by the Whole Mommy getting dead thing, and wanted to go into her room, and sort her things into boxes etc. Apparently Bioware dont want us going in there.

7. MORE RELATIONSHIP STUFF.
Mommy dies, and the only thing we get, is an extra scene with our bf/gf, and we dont even get to do any thing fun. I mean, I would have liked Anders to at least let me cry on his shoulder.

Any thing else?

I enjoyed it overall as well, I thought that the take on story telling was really interesting, the only problem was that when it shifts from one act to another you don't really get any sense of the character development and relationships that happen over say 3 years. If I'm in a relationship with Isabella then after 3 years I would expect something to have happened. Also I miss being able to walk up to any of my companions at any time in the camp and talk to them about what's going on or learn about their back story. And to me it didn't seem like there were that many companions. In DAO there were so many that you actually had choice, now its solely determined by whether you need a tank, or a rogue, or a healer etc.

Also, did having a Witch Hunt completed save do anything? I mean the ending to that DLC was already unsatisfying in itself, but did it do anything to DA2? I don't think so... I really wanted to see Sten or Morigan again. Im glad Alistar (he was king on my DAO save) and Zevran made cameos. Did I miss any from any other characters?

I really liked how there are things that happen in the story that you don't expect, like when the Arishok gives the order to attack. You think that you can maybe find a way to work it out or resolve the conflict, maybe help the Qunari, but then you realize that it's out of your hands. I think that's a good thing, not giving too much choice and throwing things at the player that make them feel like they are part of a larger political conflict that they can't predict/ control all the time. Same deal with Anders at the end, big WTF! moment where everything gets completely chaotic.

The only other 'problem' I had - and it's not really a problem - is that at the end you see that there is more to the story, the conflict isn't really resolved. Whatever the chantry seeker wanted doesn't actually get done [yet?]. It leaves you wanting (expecting) more, but I realize that it is a complete story (like Dreamfall: TLJ), about the Champion of Kirkwall.

@ Ekutah,
I feel your pain.

I loaded up my completed save game, and it takes me to my house, which I can walk about as much as I want in, but cannot go anywhere else, except the Black Emporeum.

I can buy stuff, I just cant use the stuff.

Pretty sad.
I would have rathered have a new game + feature, than a 'walk about my house' feature.

I see what bioware did there

They did the same as in ME, leave anything good about RPG out, and focus more on the action.
It worked in ME because there was more character development.
There was NONE in DA2, except for Merril and that Elven Mage experiment guy.
