Less fighting should be nice.

There's definitely too much fighting in this game.

I can tell Bioware is proud of their new fighting system but I want a break sometimes gahdangit!!
It's very very annoying to move from here to there trying to finish a quest (especially in the dark) and get into random encounters that I just can't flee. :pinched:

Some quests could definitely do without a lot of fights. Such as the part where Hawke's mother passed away. It was touching seeing how concerned Hawke was, but then the mood was completely ruined with the unnecessary fight in that room full of notes and books.

Everyone feels the same, yes? No? :?

The waves of enemies and "meat" is too much for me. I think Kirkwall population was: 80% bandits, 5% merchants, 5% NPC you can talk to and 10% random NPC standing. Point is - its over the top with enemies.

I agree, it is an awesome combat system, but there are never many idle NPCs even in the day, and a ridiculous number of "bandits" and whatever at night. It really got to me

I felt the same way about DA:O, especially with those dam ambushes on the load screen. Forced combat is never enjoyable to me especially when I'm trying to complete a quest or talk to someone.

really?
i think i need more fights overall since only the main/side quests are packed with encounters (i miss the DA:O random encounters when traveling in between the locations), but you got a point on that quest...

If I can't play an rpg for half an hour without somebody being cut up into little bitties there's something wrong.
