So far...

Sat 12th March 2011

Hi there

I am getting a no disc warning when I have an EA downloaded pre-purchase copy of DA2.

This pops up and I can click continue no probs... however it reduces my gamma down to 0.5 and I cannot see anything as it is so dark, as I am going off game visually...

I have gone into my doc and manually increased the gamma to 4 in the DA folder.

The problem is that if I reduce the screen once DA2 is running visually it goes pete tong.. the same happens to DDO btw...

How can I rid the PC asking for a disc when I have a legit downloard copy of DA2?

I have been told by EA that they are aware of the issue and are investigating it... they promise to get back to me in 24-48 hours.... as if!

The first idiot said that there will be a patch and just wait for it! Went a little mental at him and got somebody helpful.

I can click ignore or continue on my version as it is an EA downloaded copy not a disc installation... by then the image turns to midnight. I have tried to run on Direct 9 as opposed 11 but still nothing.

If I hear from them sooner I will post.

Go to their direct chat and shout at them via the "contact us" choice on the right of the EA page http://support.elect...co.uk/app/home/

Please help if you can

Ironically I have just tried the patch that Chris Priestly posted in the topic Dragon Age II PC beta patch 1.01... it works!

No more cd request....
