I know I'm nagging but.....

PLEASE HELP!!!!

I'm in Act.3, After finishing "Alone" quest. He didn't leave the party after , there just a loading screen and everyone was outside the hangedman......then nothing, no dioluge, no quest. He didn't show up ask for my Hawke's forgiveness or any other thing the guide book mention.

Is this a bug? Or beacuse I didn't reach full rival status with him?(I'm at about 80% rival)?

Please help! This is super depressing....Posted ImagePosted Image

I think it's the 100% bit, because it happened to me too (I thought it just had to be over 50%).

I have a different sort of bug: all the other NPCs are making mention of our romance, if I speak to Fenris casually he says things like, "I'm yours." But he's never come back after our one night stand. The other NPCs are even joking about us. I feel so very, very cheated.

I think I know what your problem is. In Act II when you've had the romance scene, afterwards he tells you that he's starting to remember the past and can't handle it. At this point, if you pick "So you're ending it?" option, this has the same effect as ending the romance even though it doesn't have a broken-heart symbol. He will still his red armband and your party members will still gossip about you, but you will not get the Act III scene and therefore can't complete the romance. I found this out the hard way and have to load a save from 7 hours earlier...because I did the Fenris scene early in Act II.

I'm having the same issue. I have 100% rivalry and was careful not to chose the "so you're ending it" line since I knew about that bug. Still no cutscene, just the "you're not alone" line, the puppy eyes and that's it. =(

So what is the answer? I did not choose the "So you're ending it?" line. Not at full rivalry though. Is that the problem? He needs to disagree with me more to love me???
Haven't been with anyone else, only even flirted with Zevran (hey, how can Fenris unless he's still interested?).
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

BTW, I also never found the book gift in the alienage (that is where it's supposed to appear in Act II, right?)  I looked there repeatedly!

:(

Jumped from town to anywhere out of town - again 22 times.

I don't know why the Bitter Pill quest didn't trigger. I think I remember reading that you need to do Aveline's personal quest first. The book is in a sack in the alienage at night, for sure close to the end of act 2, don't know if it appears earlier.

Hope that helps!

He doesn't show up to ask for your forgiveness.  You end up outside the Hanged Man, and then you have to trigger "Questioning Beliefs" for the final time in order to get the forgiveness scene at his mansion.  I think you have to be close to 100% in either friendship or rivalry to trigger that quest.  If you're not there yet, just wait until you get his final gift during "Best Served Cold."  That should probably clinch it for you.

Regarding book of Shartan: you can only pick it up in act 2, at night when you are visiting alianage. It's not there during the day.

As for triggering the bitter pill, you actually need to have him in your party when you travel outside Kirkwall in act 2. Sundermount or Wounded coast trip should do the trick.

Aveline's quest has nothing to do with it, I've finished Bitter Pill prior to it before. I think the confusion about it stems from the fact that Bitter Pill can trigger when you are on Aveline's quest and travel outside Kirkwall to do her patrol (and have Fenris in the party). Aveline's quest has nothing to do with it, travelling into the wilderness does.

You're right -- just finished the Bitter Pill again tonight. It's independent of Aveline's quest - it just triggers when you step outside of Kirkwall.

As to Act 3 - it goes very slowly.  Having tested this a several times in both  friendship and rivalmance, I can tell you that the forgiveness scene does not trigger unless you are at 100%. of either friendship or rivalry.  The scene at the Hanged Man is just one of the ways to gain influence (you have me...puppy eyes. etc.).  So if you're not at 100% then keep working at it.  Find and give him the Tevinter Sword gift, continue to work on either gaining his friendship or his rivalry and you will be able to trigger the scene.  In my last rivalmance I got to 100% just barely before the final main quest that triggers the ending ... whew!  But it did trigger the Fenris forgiveness scene.  So you still have time.

I really hope they fixed that on the last patch, otherwise I'm losing several hours of gameplayas well...
