Ok so Dragon Age 2 is not nearly as good as Dragon Age Origins.

But guys, seriously. Let me ask you a VERY honest question. Total and 100% honesty.

Should I skip Dragon Age 2 and wait for Dragon Age 3? SHould I pretend that Dragon Age 2 never happened or should I give it a chance?

a) give it a chance

B) skip this horrible piece of sh*t game

Be honset.

I think it's safe to say that you should skip DA3 too.

As someone who's only played the demo, let me ask this: What kind of answers do you expect?

The ones loving it will tell you to buy, the ones hating it, won't.

Better to read through all the reviews, praise and criticism and let your gut decide

Wait till it's rock bottom price or ultimate edition is rock bottom price.

I'll just say I'm glad I rented rather than bought it , saves me the hassle of returning it.

Skip it entirely unless they patch back in the features that were in DAO.

Don't skip it, but don't rush out to buy it either. Nabbing the ultimate edition when it's released is a solid option.

No, don't skip it. It's inferior to Origins, is certainly one of Bioware's weakest offerings and has glaring flaws to be sure, but it's nowhere near a bad game itself, and improves upon Origins in some ways (notably the combat system). I give it a 7.5, which is higher than most games I played on my personal scale.

Truthfully mate, it's up to you really. No one can really give you the experience of it.

I would suggest renting it and trying for yourself. Personally I was horrified how it turned out. Terrible.

@ HieOapeen,

Before you run away with all these threads, I have just one simple question to ask. Upon looking below your icon, I noticed that you do not have any games registered. Although I can understand the criticism, why do you not have any games registered? Did you buy any dlc?

Other words, did you purchase your rights to voice your opinion buy buying any of BioWare's games?

Are you a BioWare consumer?

Skip it until theres a Steam sale on the ultimate edition.

It shouldnt take long for this game to go into the bargain bin.

It would be very wise for you to wait a week or two before asking this question to get a realistic answer because right now the boards are full of a bunch of griefers that are being a little too harsh on the game. Usually the boards settle down after a week or so after a game releases. Frankly though I'm loving the game but it has a few kinks that hopefully get ironed out in the update.

Registering your games is not a requirement for posting on the forums

You dont need to purchase anything to gain rights to discuss a game.

You are correct. However, I bet its a requirement if he doesn't want to get banned.

Personally I wish I'd never bought it now, I'm just that disappointed in it, I feel like I did when I saw Highlander 2 (although some poeple do claim this film never existed) at the cinema.

The reviewers just plain lied about this game.

Wait, so your already calling it worst then origins with out playing it? We all do respect but, saying its better or worst then origins is purely an opinion, for example, I found DA2 to be better. Aside from the excellent tactical combat origins had, there was a lot I hated about it. Aside from the occasional visual glitch and the lack of iso view. I thought DA2 was better. Of course, people will disagree but thats my point. Thats my view, my opinion.

Heres what I suggest, approach DA2 as not a sequel to origins, but its own game. I also ask you to ignore any praise or insult that this forum has thrown at it. Simply approach DA2 with a "clean mind". You really cannot tell if you'll enjoy a game or not unless you actually try it. Theres not a man or women on this forum that can tell you that you'll enjoy a game or not. So yes, give it a chance.(You should probably rent it first. at 60$ you wanna be sure that you'll get your moneys worth on it)

It is a good game that I have enjoyed playing, but if you're really still on the fence about it you should just wait til the price goes down a bit or Steam has a special on it.

It is recommended that you do alt forum accounts because else EA can suddenly remove your access to the DLCs you have without refunding you a penny.

Do what I did.

I canceled my pre-order and rented it instead. I got a 2 week rental for a quarter of the retail price.

As a game it's worth a rent but as a Bioware RPG it's certainly not worth £40/$60

You get the best of both worlds if you rent, you get to play a pretty meh RPG from Bioware but they don't make a penny out of it.
