Did I imagine reading codex entries in DA:O that stated that a pride demon unleashed in the mortal realm would potentially be enough to destroy the world? So how is it that there were 5 or 6 of them (a couple were not even sealed away !!!) in this game and the world seemed to be perfectly fine?
Also, did anyone else find themselves laughing when they threw the double pride demons at you in the templar's halls? It was like they knew there wasn't anything else they could really do with the game at that point so why not just throw two of them at you, that was the solution to combat for the rest of the game.

I found some sweet loot in that hall, and too many demons.

Demons can slip through into the mortal realm where the Veil is thin. If you read the various histories of Kirkwall and do the Band of Three quest, you learn that the Veil in and around Kirkwall has been anally raped with a jackhammer.
