Mass Effect 2 was an amazing gme and the gameplay was an upgrade over the first one, the game was a good seller and a lot of the fans were happy with it

At the end of the day, you saying that DA2 has failed is YOUR opinion, not a proven fact, not yet at least. I for one thought that DA2 was a amazing game, just as good as origins in fact. Now yes I admit when I saw all the changes being made and played the demo I was a bit hesitant but after just completing the game I can honestly say it was amazing, I simply live what they've done with 99% of the game. That said I especially liked the origins references throughout the game, they were small and nerdy but if you've been a loyal fan since the first origins you would of got them all.
So see in my eyes dragon age 2 is not a failure, it's rather the opposite, I concider it a massive sucsess but like I said this is just my opinion, I'm not trying to force you to believe that it is a massive sucsess jut as you should not try and ram your opinion down peoples throats that it was a failure.

the game isn't a failure but i hope they take some of the criticism into account. it was an 8/10 game for me but that doesn't mean it's bad...

The game will do badly in sales because of the price tag more than anything else. Overall the game is an improvement and will bring in a lot of new players who did not like the DAO playstyle.

Was your post supposed to be an answer, because it wasn't.  Sure ME2 sold well and had fans, but that doesn't mean it didn't turn off a bunch of ME fans.

I think it will sell well, all hype- but for those of us that have play DAO - will dislike the changes and the 'story' if you want to call it that...but those that buy it and have not play DAO - and have played ME/ME2 they will probably love it.  Maybe we are the minority - the one of Origin blood - hehehehe;)

The fan feedback will hurt post-release sales, but I know at least for my area that the turnout for the midnight release was HUGE. It was bigger than the releases for MvC3 and Bulletstorm/Killzone 3.

Plus, most of the preorders were for Xbox copies. I'm not sure how upset the console community is when compared to the PC community. It won't tank; DA2 will still make a profit. But I'm not sure if they'll break 4 million with all the negative vocal fans, whether they're in the minority or not.

False, I've sinked almost 150 hours into DA:O, loved it, and I love DAII, combat, story and all (Though I haven't finished it yet at the moment.)

IMO dragon age 2 didn't " fail " that much. But it's pretty sure DA:O and DA2 are not the same kind of games. So, if the community expected a dragon age origins 2, then yep, complete failures.

But DA2 do have qualities and is a game I enjoy playing. I kind of like the " cinematic plotting effect " ( meaning " game history build like a movie." ) and so, it is not a fail by itself.

Bioware should have come up with something besides "2" at the end, a subtitle would have worked. All they have acopmlished how ever is to make people think that Dragon Age 2 must be Dragon Age: Origins 2 when it was never meant to be a direct sequel to Origins.

Did Origins have issues? Of course. Did they stop it from being a good game? Depends on who you ask.

Does DA 2 have issues? Of course. Are they the same problems as in Origins? No......AHA! That is where the problem lies.

It seems like half the people are angry that it didnt have the half and odd 1000 spells and equipment. The rest seem to be complaining at the mear fact its a so called "sell out" What people have to realise is that it was never going to be the same as origins. 6 years in development, you want another game like that? then go out buy the game support bioware then they might have the funds to do another like that, the game development nearly bankrupted the company. I've played every single bioware game/dlc out their. The writing on this was some of the best, decisions you made had more drastic effects not just for the plot but the charactors around you. The graphics were sensational especially with direct x11. Half of this moaning is from people who havent completed the game yet, I remember with origins it was the same, i hated the first 3 hours but like origins i got around act 2 in dragon age 2 and loved it.

Dragon age 2 was far from a failure it is a great game and all your doing with ya moaning is damaging the reputation of a great company that makes some of the best games out their. I cannot wait for the next installment, just hope all the people that moan and dont actually help by giving out details on what they can improve grow up and face the facts.

By the way continue moaning and bioware will end up like infinity ward.

I'm not sure that is true.  How can you vote which is better without buying both.  If DA2 has low initial sales, isn't that more a reflection on what people thought of DAO than DA2?  The masses don't spend their time in forums like these.  They pre-order sequels if they loved the games that came before.  

I bought and like DAO.  I have yet to buy DA2.  Why?  Because DAO didn't capure me to the extent that I had to have the sequel right away.  I was going to pick up DA2 when I was at Target last night, but it was sold out.  I'll grab it eventually.

1 amazon had a bunch of no lifers sabotage the rating just cause they didnt like the game (read the forums and you would of seen the post was around 2 days ago)

2 Amazon wasnt a main seller, Consoles got it cheaper in the stores and from other websites and the pc players got it from steam. Amazon was just another minor provider whos price failed misrably.

3 past 24 hours A LOT of people bought the preorder which was out friday or tuesday depending where in the world u lived.

So in this game marketed towards the "Call of Duty" crowd Bioware thought it was a good idea fill the game with as much homosexuality as possible. Let's not forget the average age of the Call of Duty crowd ranges from 8-15 years old.

ahh i pity you. It was hardly targeted towards the call of duty crowd, The game had complex decisions that would make anyone struggle. What ure doing tho is complaining about it being put in your face.... If u want homosexuality to occur its ure choice in the game. So in the greatest respect shut the F**k up

Register a game and prove u've played a bioware game. Then talk.

My games are registered on EA, btw, just because people dont register their games doesnt mean they havent played them, not everyone registers it on PSN and XBL because you dont have too, and DLC can be bought via disc, thats how I got mine so get a life.  Ive got over 100 hours easy in origins and im at the 20 hour mark on DA2, and what Bioware has done with the DA series is exactly what happened to Call of duty.
