Hi!
I think this is my first post ever regarding bioware games
and i feel the need to addres it, beacuse im affraid that we might lose
another good developer. So this time im here to addres DA2.
Im sorry for lack of English language skills in advance. I will try to keep this short.
I have
played ME1, ME2, Dragon age: origins and i finnished Dragon age 2 few
hours ago. While i didnt need to addres all previous game, beaczse they
did passed my OK test, i do need to say few words about DA2.
First
i would like to say that the whole storry about Dragon Age is
increadible, especialy the lore behind Grey Wardens and the risks that
it holds. While being chosen one, you are also cursed due to the blood
you drink. So instead of dying, you go once more into the deep roads and
kill as many as you can. For one last time.
The genius
behind this lore should be praised, beacuse you have a powerfull lore,
which involves around heroism and sacrefice for greater good. When i 1st
played DA, i was supprised about it and it really pulled me into the
whole storry behind Grey Wardens, which has lead to the entire story of DA.
They
storyline in DA was awesome. You start of as you desire and you have
ALOT of classe, races, gender to choose from. Not only that, you also
have a DOG as a companion ! A DOG !!!! ../../../../images/forum/emoticons/w00t.png
So
all that was great, the ending was good and i generaly liked it. Now
back to DA2 and i am going to just point on the problems.

spoilers in the DEMO and trailer are clearly showing what will hapend
and once your in the game and you see certain caracters, you allredy
know what will go down with. So there isnt alot of suprise and some of
it you ruined it for us.
- The speed of combat is way too fast ... way too fast!

Realism! i like realitry in the games. For exp. take GOTHIC 1 nad 2.
Awesome ! An skinny elf wielding 2h like its made out of plastic is not
real. Rogue jumping around and porting like YODA on SPEED in not real.
Magic is magic ... its not real but its magic

Maps and areas totaly the same trough the whole game, so it gets boring
beacuse there isnt any exploration. You just walk on same maps over and
over again and when thers major citty colapse fight, you add some
burning wood.
- enemys APEARING OUT OF NOWHERE. seriusly its lame.
- lets walk into this conversation, so we get surrounded by enemies later on. silly ...
- No Qunari on my team ...
Thats about it. There are few more but im going to skip them.
Now to say WHY DA2 has turned this way out.
Bioware
is a name well known and people will buy your game, if you will keep up
the quality. I bouth Starcraft 2 withouth THINKING about it, beacuse i
know Blizzard will not fock it up.
my PERSONAL opinion, is that EA has
influenced you way too much. Bioware should publish their own game,
just like blizzard does or get publisher that will let you work until
the work is done.
BIOWARE for me is one of THE best developers so far and it shares its spot with only few on top, so dont screw that up.
